Saw the same thing times 2 today on our way to a fake gift cache I set out for my dad for Father’s Day. And once again, didn’t have a camera! Seems like it is becoming a regular event with us. No camera caching = Kodak wildlife moment!! 🙄

Nice picture! While my dad (RayRoad) and I were at the campout this year we crossed paths with what we believed to be a coyote cub (or maybe wolf, not entirely sure). We were doing the Shelter Earthcache, and when we were nearly back down to the parking area, I saw the tail end of a little grey furball sneak around the huge fallen tree stump. Only about 4 feet away from me! At first I thought it was a rabbit until I saw a longer tail. Called dad back to take a look and we both watched the cute, chubby little guy meander up the hill. Both of us were so awestruck that we didn’t even think to grab the camera we both had around our necks! No Kodak moment for us! 😥 Happy we didn’t get to meet momma face to face 😯 These are reasons we love going to the campout and spending time caching in WI! Glad you were able to react and get such a nice shot though!

Hello! I wasn’t going to post this, but then thought why-not, can’t hurt. The more submissions the better, and maybe it’ll spark an idea. I know I’m not a professional, so I’m sure from that stand-point there are issues with it. But, I do find this area very interesting and would like to learn more about it. This thread already taught me some things. By submitting, hopefully I’ll learn more! This is a really basic idea. There are no cache-related images, but you could either make it the side of a ammo box, or add a 4th box at the end with an ammo box. The colors can easily be altered to contain 1, 2, 3 etc different colors of your choosing. I posted 2 versions, a black and white, and a color. You could change the colors for different occasions or printings. Maybe have an army-colored one to put on ammo cans, or maybe hunting colors for a hat, or pinks for a womans shirt, or if you really like the seasons idea make the W box in blues for winter – the G box pastels for spring – the A box golden fall colors -and bright blues/greens/yellows for summer in the possible 4th ammo box, etc,etc. If that’s even possible. Sorry this is getting lengthy, just wanted to get all the ideas out! Thanks for the consideration!

Hi everyone!

First time poster, but I have been known to lurk around this site! I thought I should introduce myself and post a note thanking people for voting for my design, and posting nice compliments! I might not be from WI, but my dad (RayRoad of MN), whom I do almost all of my caching with is originally from there and now owns the house he grew up in not to far from the campout site. So we make multiple trips each year and of course cache along the way! We really enjoy caching over there, especially the beautifully caches on the bluffs that have spectacular views. We have many WI caches that top our favorites list. We are planning on attending and look forward to meeting you Wisconsinites! Glad you guys like the logo!

(PS – Jeremy, I had a similar idea of using a movie poster. Even got out a few magazines to check out movie ads! I thought it looked really nice!)
