The July cache is now available. It is GC2Z4DM Don’t Become a Troll. Bring your bike for a fun ride on the Eisenbahn Trail. June winners will be announced shortly. Visit West Bend to cache each month and have a chance for smilies on new caches and a chance to win prizes.

Log a “needs archiving” to get the reviewers attention and start the process of freeing this area up for a new cache.

in reply to: Any interest in a ATV caching event? #1949441

We might be interested if it was after Labor Day and we could rent an ATV in Mountain or closeby. I have driven ATV’s, but don’t own one.

Congrats June, I hid a special “mens only” cache today so Dave can catch you and the fighting stops.

Congratulations and thanks for wandering down this way occasionally to find our hides.

We did some bike trail caches yesterday…

    Where?

At the west end of the Wild Goose Trail in Clyman. The caches were the Happy Trails Series.

    Sounds nasty!

Be careful this weekend, since your natural immune system is being stressed already. Even a skeeter bite could react more than usual!

Well that sure makes me feel better.

Knives, matches — just kidding. In the summer I buy boxes of 12 packets of Deep Woods Off wipes. In the winter I switch to hand warmer packets. Both are well appreciated, not too expensive and fit in most small and larger caches.

I don’t wish this experience on anyone. I have had bouts with poison ivy and theis is much worse. Poison ivy itches more, but the reaction from the hogweed is more painful. Just when one of the burns starts looking better more blisters start appearing. The only good thing as that it doesn’t seem to spread. It’s been 4 days now since I contacted the plant and it isn’t getting better, but it also isn’t getting worse. The sensitivity to sun is the worst part. Between geocaching and being a landscape contracter I’m outside whenever it’s not raining. So far my treatment has been keeping the burns clean, soaking them with Domeboro’s Solution and applying Hydrocortosone cream. We’re going camping this weekend and just my luck I’ll probably step in poison ivy.

in reply to: Cemetery caches #1949236

The reviewers had complaints about the placement of some of the cemetery caches and decided that any caches hidden in private cemeteries would need permission. There is nothing in writing on this. It was a good decision since all caches should have permission regardless of where they are hidden even though very few have. I’m sure that WisKid will see this topic and post his comments.

Drill a hole in it and attach it to some type of trackable tag. I have seen several like that.

I think that calls for a vacation celebration like maybe Hawaii or Alaska.
Must have included some awesome adventures. Congratulations.

You’re a pirate, just go steal one from some other geocacher.

Great discussion. I think everyone will be happy now and no blood was shed. I will admit it was a clever ploy to get publicity for you caches LOL.
