You would not need permission to use the cemetery for a virtual first waypoint to create a puzzle. The location of the final would determine whether permission would be needed. With any cache regardless of where it is located you should try to secure permission for all waypoints if possible.
Congrats guys! After seeing John on snowshoes Saturday I’m guessing the stepstool is routinly taken along so he can stop and sit to rest those wobbly legs of his.

Congratts! It was great to hear of the tale firsthand from you last Saturday.
Don’t feel bad about Tidyman, we had trouble finding it last fall. I was so distracted after climbing the hill and seeing the piles of dirt and grading being done over the gravestones.
Maybe I had twice as much fun as everyone else?

Great job Jim and Dave. Hope to see more events at this facility in the future.

WTG Rod, I bet you looked real cute in your wooden shoes.

On a related note….I noticed today a “request for archive” on a local cache, requested by a brand new account called “NeedsArchival.” We have traveled this road before in the past in this hobby and it may have been helpful in some cases, but it also had many negative repercussions. May I respectfully suggest that if a person feels a cache needs archiving, to just go ahead and make that request with their own handle? If a person fears backlash from their actions, perhaps they could approach the situation in a different manner? It may be that whoever NeedsArchived is, they’ve tried other approaches, but none of us should feel the need to hide when suggesting any kind of action. Thank you.
Getting a little off topic, but I saw that one too and looked at the cache and there are many steps that can be taken on this one before a suggestion of “needs archiving”. Maybe there’s some friction between the two parties involved?
Congratulations! I can’t wait to see you carrying three kids through the woods to find a cache.
There was a “needs maintenance” on GCY5MF on 3-14-10. You’re “performed maintance” log today should make it go away the next time the cache pages are updated on geocaching.com. You must post a “performed maintenace” to make a “needs maintenance” dissapear.
Congrats Brett. Don’t know if you’ll see any of this so I sent you an e-mail. Great to see you last weekend.

Good suggestion NWTom. I had a roommate in college who was a trapper, and he took me out on his trap line many times, so I became familiar with the hardware involved. I made an attempt at trapping myself, but after catching a rabbit, a bluejay, a great-horned owl, and the neighbor’s cat, I gave up my trapping career. BTW, the cat and the owl both survived and had no serious injuries.
Kinda like the Bears. They think they are football players, but they really don’t know what they are doing.

After playing and scoring about 300 points in each of the first 2 years we didn’t play this year. There just aren’t that many lonely caches in SE WI. I was surprised to see that we are still in 18th place since the inception of the game. We probably found 300 points worth again this year, but didn’t submit any of them. The event is close enough to us that we may come to meet some of the notables and see friends that we already know. Have not done any caching in Oshkosh yet either so it’s time for a trip that way.
