I have hidden about 40 WSQ’s and there are signs at many of them saying no visitors after dark. I had 5 of them published at about 7:00 PM tonight and they all have the not available at night icon on. I had my fingers crossed that no one would try them tonight. Think about the damage that hunting them at night could do to the reputation of geocaching. Whether a WSQ or any other type of cache always hunt them responsibly.
Maybe it was just someone horsing around!

Way to go guys, fun adventure. Great pics of the Skipper and Gilligan.
Actually the “needs Maintenance” icon dissapears when you log a “performed maintence” or at least it always has on all of mine. I just checked to verify that.

Our congrats on your huge #8000 milestone that you accomplished while working on the MN Delorme. Amazing for a couple of old grand parents.
TEOld? Don’t they know the grandkids keep us young. Congratulations and keep on having fun.
Wow, must have been a sleepy news day in Cooney. Just kidding. Gary, it’s nice to see you get some credit for our game that you give so much back to. We’ve met the Muffler family and they have become fans of our hides. I’ve had several e-mails back and forth with Laurie offering a helping hand when needed. It’s nice to see some news out of Oconomowoc that doesn’t involve construction.
Congratulations, we’ll light a sparkler for you when you get home. Sort of a rustic road version of the Magic Kingdom fireworks display.

Congrats Pete. Interesting log. I’d like to a picture of the monkey on the rat’s back.

Is that a really big rat or a very small monkey?

I didn’t vote since personally I think they’re adding a lot of uneccesary icons. Do we really need an icon for a park and grab or fuel nearby? As far as puzzles go I think most cachers are already going to know that the cache is a puzzle and what type before even noticing the icon. I found over a dozen puzzles in the last week, not by design, but just because they were there. I even had a ftf on an internet puzzle. I don’t plan on adding the puzzle icon to any of my hides. Mine all get plenty of activity now. However having said all of this I can see where this may be of some advantage in an area like the Fox Valley where there are lots of puzzles. Just my opinions.

I’ve had this happen to me 3 times and they were all newbies who thought they needed approval before actually setting the container. This will get even more confusing as some of the new county and municipality guidelines require their approval before you set out the container.
