So, did I just miss this one before or is it brand new? And what’s the purpose (well, besides the obvious)…it just seems like a strange one to need.
Though, I did add it to GC1ZVZW just for kicks and giggles.
The new icon looks kinds like the hotel, is that creepy ot what?

Considering the amount of bugs this year I occasionally leave OFF in caches, but I leave the packets that contain a wipe form. Any thoughts on this? I’ll stop if anyone objects. I removed a lighter from a cache 2 days ago.
Congrats Marc. Thanks for all your WSQ hides too. Now the question is will Marc secretly log on to read the congratulations when no one is watching?

Last weekend I found WRR 33 – Holy Hill View GC28V4H You could find it during the day, and it’s probably a nice view from there, but I found it at night and it was spectacular. If this cache were mine I would put a Recommended at Night attribute on this one.
Added the icon. We live so close to Holy Hill and take it’s spectacular views for granted. Since many cachers at the weekend event were out long days I had quite a few logs from those who did it after dark and commented on the view.

Many of the caches are listed as placed by “WBA Chamber”. Now, we all know that no one in the chamber is actually placing or maintaining the caches, so either placing them with the actual placer’s account or adding an “assisted by” to the placed by text would be appreciated. I just like to know who is hiding the caches I find.
Me too. Most of us agree put the “assisted by” on our hidden caches, including myself, LDove, kmhiker, MikMac4, and Mr Greenthumb. So, by process of elimination, if it didn’t include a name, Earth Angel was the wonderful hider.
However, most cached using the event booklet and never looked at some of the great cache pages that were created until they logged them. I had several e-mails after the event saying thanks, I didn’t know you hid that one when we found it. I think that is what d
Dave is looking for, something in the booklet. I’m not sure I would have liked that though. I may have received retaliation from everyone who got wet in the “Frog Pond”..

Hi. Just to clarify… the message wouldn’t send to wbachamber.org It said it was an illegal address. I tried and that went ok. Is there a better name to address it to than “info”?
Thanks, I just took it out of my e-mail address book and that’s what I had.
So use Being another of the cache hiders I agree with L’Dove. The positive comments far out weigh the problems that a small few had with the event. No matter how things are done everyone will not go home happy when over 1000 attend. I spent 3 hours last night reading logs on the event page and the eleven caches that I placed. I want to apologize, but only lightly to anyone who got wet at my hide “Frog Pond”. Many logs on this one started out as the worst cache ever and ended with awesome. Your response in the logs is what makes all of my efforts and all of the other cache hiders and volunteers efforts worth while. Your showing up and finding some caches and having a good time is what makes the event a success.

GC24H7KThis park was one of the most challenging groupings of caches that we have encountered for both terrain and difficulty. Hunted these with Doctor Dolittle and the Ecorangers. Very satisfying experience when we were finally finished. I think it took us4-5 hours for about 20 caches.

We did Sweetlife’s ATV Series at the end of July when they were first published with OPPS5 and our grandkids. You don’t need an ATV, but there is a lot of scenic driving on sand covered fire lanes to get near the caches. We all enjoyed these a lot. The hikes were not very far once we got near to them, but the adventure of manuvering on the winding sandy trails to get to them was lots of fun. They are just south of Mountain. There are several other “hike to” caches in the area too. Seldom Seens Lookout Above Remnants is a great one. I even have an unfound one in the area that’s almost 2 weeks old now.
If you feel the need for some numbers too we stopped at about 20 quick ones in between the hiking ones.

What is the maximum mileage radius out from West Bend that the new caches will be placed?
Thanks
Two of the five that I hid are 13 miles from Regner Park as the crow files. My others are eleven miles from the park.
