I’m still pondering this, but Gary already took most of my favorite sections of trail.
We would definitely buy at least one.

They do make a cute couple!
I would have made that one a mystery cache. I consider anything hidden in the last 2 years a newer cache.
I’m not going to try to be an expert on the 528′ part of this. However, on a multi-stage cache that requires the seeker to gather information at each waypoint to determine the final coordinates, the hider has the option to make it a multi or a mystery cache under the hiding guidelines. I have some hidden each way and find that the ones labeled as mystery caches get more activity. Labeling as a mystery cache also tips the cacher off ahead of time to possibly reading the cache page before the hunt.
No to a journal of any type, but we take lots of photos. I scrapbook all of our geocaching adventures. We just got back from the scrapbook store and buying supplies. It’s a winter avtivity for us on days when we don’t go out geocaching. Sunshine scrapboks all of the family photos (birthdays, holidays, etc.) and I do all of the geocaching events and adventures.
We have a few local cachers that we share phone numbers with now. This would be a nice feature when traveling to other areas. It would probably also increase the interest in multis and field puzzles. As owners of over 150 hides we would rather have an out of town cacher call than go home with a dnf.

I think I am in. I will post a note Saturday morning confirming that I am leaving to join you all or not.
I saw Jim’s note about poles. Think I should pick up some of those lightweight trekking poles? I’ve seen pictures of folks using these during these winter hikes. Do they seem to help or are they more of a burden? Saw some on sale somewhere and my son has been eyeing them up anyway. I know they would help in the summer as well.
I need to pick up another pair of gloves anyway…
We each only use one. That way you still have one free arm and hand. Sometimes it’s a bother to have them along, but the plusses out weigh the minuses. They work great to help keep your footing when it’s icy and going up and down slippery slopes. They also double as a tool to help locate caches under the snow.
Etrex Legends are the only units we’ve owned. We have found over 200 and hid over 150 with them. We rarely hunt more than 12-15 in one day so haven’t given much thought to going paperless. We do download coordinates though into both the Etezes and our Nuvi.

HeloDood, lighten up. Every post that I’ve seen from you so far will do nothing to make you friends in the WGA.
Oh? And you looked at all of them? I looked at my own post history and I honestly can’t say I see where you’re coming from. Well, that is up until where I got mad and disabled a listing which I worked hard to create.
If you want me out to be a bad guy, so be it.Again your opening up your mouth about things your not informed about and don’t understand. And BTW I read every post, every day and there are many others who do the same. My best suggestion to you is turn off you computer and come back in a week when your head is on right.

I had a FTF on January 10th on a cache that was published on January 1st, be patient.
I’m so bored here at home today after all there was to do at the event and all the fun we had. I could have tried cross country skiing again (LOL). Thanks again Kat, Don, Jacob and George.
It took me 2 tries. My two grandsons (8 and 10) are part monkey so they knew to look in the tree right away and got it on one try. Why does it take so much longer in the woods?
Congratulations. Looking forward to meeting you at the event this weekend.
