I thought we were all placing caches using an alias.
Bill and Vicki
Not in the area you want, but the Bugline Trail in Waukesha County has about 25 caches along it now not including Doctor Dolittle’s new one cache for each state which will bring the total up to 75 in a 14 mile stretch. I expect this to become a real popular destination soon.
Congratulations to both of you. We hope you and your new caching partner get to share many milestones together.
Congratulations. Smart to get this one out of the way before it gets any colder.
Here’s some info for those of you not from the Milwaukee metro area. The battleship series, other than the fact that it does have a final and some preliminary mystery caches, is made up of 90+ hides which many of are at guardrails and bus stops. Some are winter friendly and many are not. The series is a lot about the numbers, but a lot of cachers also did have fun finding them. October COTM winner – The Battleship Series. Ironic?
Congratulations, an impressive number.
That deserves a special SMILEY.
Congratulations Pete, we hope to get up to your area again soon and try some of your hides. Nice job on a cache that hasn’t been found much.

When caching with the fam or friends, or group hunts at events, we use the term “Finders Tree” when we find a cache.
Say I find it, I’ll back off a good ten feet, then yell finders tree. That way, everyone can see the general area, but still can make the find on their own.
Our daughter’s family and grandkids got us into geocaching and whenever we’re with them we use the “finders tree”. The boys (7 and 10) Have a tendancy to not follow the rules to aggravate their sister, but I guess that’s normal.

This family puts elaborate seasonal displays here throughout the year. We pass it a few times a year while driving around in the Holy Hill area. If I get that way today I’ll post the coordinates. Sunshine and I are going on a date to Pike Lake today too. If I would’ve known Jeremy and Annie were going there we could’ve double dated.
Congratulations on the milestone and finding a great cache for it. I was out of breath too when we tried this one right after it was published. It was just 3 weeks after I had a heart proceedure done so I remember it well. Unfortunately it was a dnf for us as the original coordinates were incorrect. This makes me want to go back and try again. It was one of the best scenic views we have ever had from a cache site.
Congratulations Benny or Bob or whatever your name is. Don’t you just love geocaching names. Benny finds his milestone today with a Duck and an Astro D.
You were way out of line in removing the cache container. Even if you knew the cache owner the proper proceedure would be to notify the owner or place a “needs maintenance” both of which you did. I don’t know why you would still remove the container after doing both things. I would be very upset if you did this to a cache of mine. Most cache owners do maintain their hides and expect finders to respect the cache when finding it. Sign the log, return all contents and rehide the cache as well as or better than when found.
Being semi-retired and geocaching go great together. A few caches (6 today) before work during the week each day locally and one or two short trips caching on the weekends. Last weekend was grab a few on the way to the All-A-Glow Event and some on the Ice Age Trail on Sunday. This has been giving us about 100 per month. I also have to fit in hiding somewhere in between. I try to hide 4-5 each month (50 so far this year). Oh yeah chores: only on really rainy days so I never do catch up.
