It got us back into camping which we hadn’t done for over 20 years.
Besides of course trading items:
wash & dry wipes
bug repellant wipes
notebook,pen and pencil
tweezers to get the log out of some micros
mini flashlight
band-aids
hydrocortisone for insect bites
extra batteriesI could go on and on, but these are some good starters. My bag weighs about 10 lbs.
60 right now. Usually 50-80.
Upcoming events.
Recent dnf’s to find out if they are missing or it was us.
A half dozen of our daughter’s teams hides.
New hides we want to find, but for some reason would like to read someone elses log before we try.
Fun hides we just found to read the next few logs.Took off 3 or 4 in the last week and added about the same.
Congratulations on meeting your 2 year goal and the milestone. And welcome to the now getting crowded 2K Club. That makes 4 teams in the last 10 days. Also congratulations on the fun choice for #2001, Hal, a Cache Odyssey GC1J92T.
Oconto County is our second geocaching home so we’ll be looking forward to this event.
I’d be happy with that in one month. No, I’d be happy with that in 6 months.
In a situation like this I will archive the old cache and place a new one. That wayeveryone who found the old one can now find the new one and log it since it would be in an entirely different place.
Congratulations. Great choice for a milestone trip. We’ve been eyeing up those two islands too with all of the recent new ones on Washington Island.

And for those of us that do like WSQ’s, some history or a special marker to make reference to, is appreciated!
Our 21st WSQ was published today. WSQ St. Pauls GC1Y275 is the oldest Evangelical and Reformed church in Wisconsin. WP1 takes you to a historical marker to solve the final. I checked and all but 2 of our WSQ’s are older cemeteries with historical significance. I have succesfully placed the hides in almost all of them in a manner requiring you to walk through the gravesites to get to the cache. We’ve become hooked on finding WSQ’s too and often go out for only looking for them now.
I just use a scissors to cut the pad to fit the container. It takes 2 or 3 cuts depending on the thickness of the pad, but I do still have all my fingers. A TABLE SAW????

Some pics of “truffles” (this is what Lil cheeto calls her)
Once you name ’em, their yours to keep.
What kind of cat is it? Since you found it geocaching I was wondering if maybe it’s a Litter Box Hybrid.
Congratulations! This was one of the first caches that we ever found. We’ve stopped by and checked it out several times again when hiking in the park. A great milestone choice.
We’re taking care of our daughter’s (OPPS5) geo-dog Odie this weekend while his “family” is in Illinois all weekend for a soccer tournament and some geocaching. If I take him to a dog park this weekend and he helps sniff out a few caches can their team log them?
Nothing cheesy about 1K. Congratulations.
