I modified the database and the false indication should have gone away. There is a small hole where one database table can be updated and another not, leading to this problem. (This happens to about 2 people per year… aren’t you lucky? :))

    Who’s the other person?

Bill, you have one in the Merton Area up a steep hill (forgot the name sorry) that was marked winter friendly and in September (or so) it was on the ground..hope it is the only one like that

That one is “Is There an Easy Way Up THe Hill”. It’s supposed to be wedged in the fallen tree about 3′ off the ground. It is winter friendly as far as finding it, but it would probably take 20 minutes to climb the hill in this snow. I’ll take the wf icon off for now.

You can be very proud of your granddaughter. We have one, Emma who’s almost 12. She’s a member of OPPS5 who got us into geocaching. We steal her away wnenever we can to go geocaching with us. Her 2 brothers get bored. Here’s wishing you and your granddaughter a Dickens of a Christmas.

When setting up a new cache hide last night I noticed an acknowledgement of thanks to 9Key for assisiance with the attributes page. This is enough for me to see them pop up whenever they want on the WGA pages. Now I’m even more curious and I also noticed that they have a phenomenal amount of hides in Texas.

    Ours mooooved in today too.

Congratulations! Your adventures over the past few months have been fun to follow. Between your puzzle quests and the Gilligan skit that you and Jeremy put on there was always some fun for the rest of us in the forums.

I vote for Annie PharmGirl for MaryAnn, just look how outdoorsy she is! HA! Tami is definitely Ginger with that long angelic hair of hers. Me, I’ll be Mrs. HOWL since OWL is kinda close to Doves and I do love money and diamonds. I also tend to yell and howl alot when I get my car or body parts stuck in swamps, burdocks or other gross places.

How about Jeremy for Gilligan. Didn’t you always wonder how the story would unfold?

😯 😆 We could get some boats, take a three hour geocaching tour – what a great idea – ha! Who wants to be Gilligan? We already have a professor 😛 😆

Tami and Laurel. Hmm, which is Ginger and which is MaryAnn?

Way to go! I hope more geocachers learn how much time and dedication you and all of the other volunteers put in making the rest of able to go out any time and enjoy the game. I always feel good when I see your logs and know that you still have some time avaiable to get out in the field.

wow. Nice job. I can’t imagine how it’s even possible.

They have stunt doubles that they occasionly send to work and then they go out caching. Just watch their logs and you’ll see weekday logs when they should be working.

I really enjioyed playing and didn’t have much chance of winning without traveling north. My goal after a few months was to finish in the top ten and I’m in tenth place right now. The prize doesn’t mean that much to me. I would like to see the state divided into regions with the lonely caches in each region avaiable to all, but a monthly winner in each region. This would raise the amount of interst to participate which would result in more lonely caches found. The way the game was set up this year I probably won’t go out of my way next year to hunt them. If there happens to be one nearby I’ll hunt it. This year we traveled around a couple of time to hunt them, but the incentive dwindled by the end of the year.

    in reply to: Multiphobia! #1898326

A great pre-winter day for caching. We have 10 on our schedule for today and 7 are puzzles or multis. The other three just happen to be nearby. When numbers aren’t as important puzzles and multis will make it much more of an adventure.

I was born in April and my first 2 words were “I licked” so I was afraid to go any further.

in reply to: Happy Thanksgiving! #1898348

Since all but 2 of our guests today have geocached I thought it would be funny to put a film canister inside the bird and see who gets the ftf. Sunshine said today is not about geocahing and shot it down. I said life is about geocaching and got a dirty look. I guess geocaching waits until tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
