We found #10,000 today and while the number is significant we always have a big letdown after a milestone find. As we drove home today we reflected on the fact that what that number really meant is how much fun we had 10,000 times. Along the way we saw interesting and scenic places and met great people who we now consider our best friends.
Earlier this week the forecast for today was for temperatures in the teens. Now today they are saying it may get up to sixty here today.

Can I get a
Cache hiding day tomorrow
Hmmm
MGT ⦠whatās the FOTD on Monday?
I haven’t checked, but someone posted it’s Strawberry Shortcake.
I thought cougars only came out at night and slept all day!
I look at āevery cacheā as a milestone along the walkway of geocaching! LOL Actually I made a boo-boo when reaching 2000 as I had ādouble logged a previous cacheā which took away the one I really wanted for the 2,000th. This action just made the next milestone grab all the sweeter when I didnāt make the mistake twice!
I lock all of our milestones after we reach them to prevent this.
The only thing I miss from the old website is the county stats/map.
52 degrees and sunny this Saturday and we can’t go find any caches. We have 9999 finds and are going to find #10,000 on Sunday. I guess we’ll just have to go hide some caches on Saturday.
For the last few months we have been trying to come up with some epic cache for #10,000. When we look at different choices it’s more about celebrating the day than one particular cache. There are so many good ones to make a memory whether it involves a walk in the woods or the admiration of someone’s unique creation. Instead we have chosen to spend the day this weekend with friends finding a handful of caches, maybe some lunch and just having a good time. Nothing epic, just a good memory.
It would be nice to know as soon as possible where the fall picnic is in case we want to stay in the are for the weekend or longer. I know others like to make short vacations for the picnic. Reservations can be hard to get in September if you wait too long.
Southern Kettle Moraine. Look for info soon. I canāt remember the exact nameā¦Pinewood?
That’s the spring campout.

No caching stories from us, but I am starting a blog to chronicle our Kickapoo Valley Hiking Challenge. I also made a batch of fudge and repaired the second of the two cellular shades with a busted string. I almost feel like Supergirl!
It figures that if you were a superhero it would be one that FLIES
