Being off for 9 days and travelling was a nice glimpse of retirement. We change our mind every other week on when it will be.
So I’ll FTP now
until Sunday
Internet
to have
Not going
Hannibal is interesting, but more touristy than we had expected.
We liked the tour of the cave. Took it in 1965 and in 1972. Haven’t been back to Hannibal since.
$19.00 each for the cave tour so we skipped it.
MGT&S … you should love Galena, very pretty little city and lots of history. We are in Duluth today and headed for Delta tomorrow.
We’ll only have about 4-5 hours to spend in Galena as we pass through on the way to Vicki’s sister-in0laws house to spend Saturday night. It will give us enough time to check it out for a future longer visit. Hannibal is interesting, but more touristy than we had expected. Most attractions are in the $10-$20 range to see so we skipped them. There are really interesting cache locations here though.
You might be surprised how many new friends you can have when you have 50 geocoins in your pocket.
When your pants fall down from the weight of the coins!
The last two days spent in Springfield, off to Hannibal in the morning and then Galena on Saturday. All places we have never been to before.
Without jat42 we would probably have a “mole” here giving away all of our secrets!
Ouch! Didn’t see the warning sign.
