How many miles are on your Jeep Rod. I’m up to 196,000 and just had to put an alternator on it. Pulley was frozen and the serpentine belt wouldn’t turn. $300.00 was still a better investment than a switch. After all it is a Jeep.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Wish I was closer as you definitely deserve a hand with this. You could try listing it as a cache rescue. I did that once for one of my “up north” hides that someone put a needs maintenance  just a few days after we were back home. I didn’t want to go right back up there and I think within a week someone fixed it. If they are playing the Lonely Cache game they will get points for completing a cache rescue. Again, sorry for your loss Jim.

Log a “will attend” and say you only have time to stop by for a couple hours. That will give you an idea of what it’s about so you can plan for next year. It might seem a little overwhelming since you are a newer cacher, but a year from now you’ll be a grizzled veteran.

I had one of ours archived by HQ. It was on public property, but the item to see here was private property. I don’t know if cachers were going on the private property or not. The landowners contacted HQ for some reason and that led to the archiving. HQ did explain everything to me and I was fine with it. I think they do the quick archive when there is a problem to avoid having to track if the CO is taking care of it. Considering that there are now almost 3 million hides in the world it’s nice to know that HQ still cares enough to make sure we are well presented in the world. The way things are today we are fortunate to still be able to play this game we love.

I keep my vehicles forever so I haven’t had this problem yet. Also senior stickers are only $10 so we have them on all three SUV’s.
