Congrats, read your log and looked at the photos. Great milestone choice.
It seems like the longer the LCG goes on the more it loses focus on why it was ever implemented. There are no winners in geocaching. If you want to win take up golf or bowling.
I have a compass with a pirate face on, but you probably already have one of those.
A big congrats Dave and June or as Dave would say WTG!
Got home from work at 4:15. Read my e-mails. Read BBG’s log for his FTF on a puzzle that I solved, but don’t have time to get until the weekend now that I’m back to work. Checked to see if any new caches were published today. Checked the “Wildbunch” on Facebook. Went to the Forums to see what the Threadstealers were doing today. What a banged up bunch. I first noticed the post and survey after doing all of those things. Now time to vote.
Showshoed for 2 hours today and found 2 caches. The showshoeing was the focus and the caches just happened to be there adding to the adventure. We didn’t want to miss out on possibly the last chance to snowshoe this winter.
I only put a Cache Rescue on one of our caches twice as far as I can recall. One was on an archived cache that I knew Jim would get to before me and he did within 30 days. The other was for a log that needed replacing and I knew it was a cache that someone would go and find before I got to it. Even though we don’t record every maintenance visit that we do we have recorded 14 so far this year and posted 94 last year. We have 2 that need maintenance right now that the snow is interfering with. We have about 350 active caches that are well maintained. We wouldn’t keep hiding if we weren’t going to maintain them.

Kind of like a “Seen while caching” section? I was thinking of doing something like that. I think that would be great too!
Never saw a silo that I didn’t like!
First off Gwyn, thanks for starting this. Maybe the four of us are just oddballs. I will say that talking with you and Dick was just as much fun as the snowshoeing and cache finding. We talked about this subject as we drove home today, not the 50+ caches that we found this weekend. I’ll share the story we told you yesterday to get this started.
We were biking and caching on the Eisenbahn Trail a couple of years ago. As we passed a park in Kewauskum along the Milwaukee River there was a festival going on. We chained our bikes to a tree and began to mingle with the crowd. We had some brats and checked out the farm displays. We even went on a hay ride. It shortened the amount of caches that we found that day, but obviously it added to the enjoyment of this day as we are still telling the story.
We often check the events calendar on “Travel Wisconsin” and planning caching trips to communities that have something interesting going on.
It’s not all about the numbers – it’s all about the fun.
275 logs on it already
I’m going to follow Big Jim’s BIG trails!
How much new snow did you get there. We’re going to SB for 3 days after the event? Leave a stick or something marking the containers so we can find them easier.
Congratulations on a great find and milestone. Enjoyed following everyone’s preparation blogging for the adventure, the logs, photos and video. Could have done without Big Jim’s account of his pitstops and subsequent alter-adventure.

Just think of yourself as “special”, Mister GT. Or maybe there are many others out there having the same problem, but they aren’t in the WGA to post on this forum.
I am special and Pat so are you.

This might be related? http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=307718
Might be worth a shot to ‘hit compatability view’ in IE’s ‘Tools’ drop-down.
That fixed it. Thanks for researching this for me. Not sure why this happened, but at least I will know what to do if it happens again.
