We found one cache today to bring our total for the month to 60. Time of the year or weather doesn’t mean that much to us as we have found 100+ caches in almost every month. We hid 180 caches this year and that took time away from finding. We also have no caches to find within 10 miles of home. This month we found caches on 9 days, hid caches on 9 days and did maintenance on 11 days for a total of 18 days of geocaching related activities. One more outing with a group planned for this Saturday to end the year. Our New Years Resolution to the dismay of many of our friends will be more finding and less hiding.

I was thinking of asking if you’d adopt me as a grandchild. 😆 😉

Good one – now all of my money is gone.

We have 5 grandchildren so there was no money left after buying presents for them. We’re still using the same Etrex Legends that we got when we started 5 years ago. If anyone wants to adopt us next Christmas so we can get an upgrade we’re game.

Congratulations Chris, Amy, Hannah and Madeline. Great milestone sign. Is the rumor true that Amy plans on accopanying you on all of your finds in 2012?

Congratulations Karen and Lucien. We have enjoyed the many stories that you have told us over the past five years since we first met you and look forward to many more good times with you.

As long as you don’t post 1000 pictures.

I have to wait until April when I’m 65 to get my stickers next year. $10.00 if you are 65 or older. We’ll have to stick with the free areas until then. There are some benefite to being 65 I guess.

Anyone who caches with Rod deserves congratulations no matter how many finds they have so congratulations and thanks for visiting our northern hides.

Sunshine and I did this series with froggerz today. They had already found some and were nice enough to re-visit those with us. We had only found two of the older caches several years ago. Today we found twenty more and did it in under six hours including a lunch break. We figured that we hiked about six miles. This was a truly great series and hike and todays great weather made it even more enjoyable.

Congrats, Brian. looks like a really fun challenge to have accomplished.

I would base the terrain for the final on the actual final hide since you don’t know exactly what hides will be found to make a bingo. The final for my IAT challenge is a 4 and a 9 in the winter.

Having created several challenges I don’t believe there is one true answer. All of the suggestions so far are very good. A more important factor is how difficult you actually want it to be as far as completing. All of mine are easily achievable except for the IAT Half Trail challenge which has only been completed twice since it was published in May. I rated it a 5/4. Becca, send me an e-mail if you have any questions and I’ll be glad to offer my opinions.

At least we now know where Jimmy the Butcher got his name from.

Cool. A group outing for Lord of the Caches. Even BBG had mentioned to me a month or so ago he might be interested in going a second time because he liked it that much. That’s quite an endorsement!

I hope everyone who has expressed interest in this expedition realizes that John and Kim will have a requirement that you wear costumes themed to the occasion.

I’m in for Lord of the Caches.

My watchlists are at about 150 – caches I want to do, challenges I’m working on around the Midwest, trackables needed for puzzles, etc…

I’m interested in joining, but I’m not carrying any baby hippies through the marsh this time.
