Caches that are fun to watch, caches that I want to find, new caches in the area and my dnf’s. A little over 100 on my watchlist right now.
This is for sure the “crappiest” log that I have ever got.
Location: Wisconsin, United States
Braid Beard’s gang found Old Silo #53 (Traditional Cache) at 11/25/2011Log Date: 11/25/2011
I need to give you a little crap about this cache. I wouldn’t normally use that
word in a log, but the field near here was recently turned over with some
natural fertilizer. The smell was at the best barely tolerable. I sent Hannah
to the obvious beacon as I took a few photographs. She came back to the car and
said that she could not find it. I was puzzled, so we both went to the obvious
beacon. After I surveyed ground zero, it was blatantly obvious that the cache
was also turned over in the soil and manure. I dug about eight inches deep in
the earth for a few feet until I found the cache buried. I moved it to the
other side of the beacon. I just wanted to remind you that Groundspeak does not
let you bury caches in %^&% or any other soil (I hope you know I am just
kidding. We both got a laugh out of this one.) You are just lucky we are
pirates and we are used to buried treasure. Thanks for another fun Silo Cache.
Oh yea, the silos were neat too.Hope the holidays are filled with fond memories of your father to help ease the pain of your loss.
Hippie, hippie hooray and congrats too. It was nice to see you and the boys in the swamp 10 days ago. My back is still sore from carrying Liam through all of that marsh grass and muck for what seemed like miles. Hope to see you in two weeks.
Congratulations Ed, hope you didn’t wait too long in your treestand for this one.
Congratulations John and Kim. Hardly recognized you in the photo without “costumes”. 100 more to go.
I evaluate my caches more on what cachers think of them and now often they are found, rather than how much I like them. Considering that this one has been found fairly often since published despite the effort required I would try to somehow keep it going.
Congrats on the milestone and for putting up with Rod all day.
Congrats Rod!
I agree with T&B. Up until recently most of our 350 hides have involved hiking, are in the woods or were field puzzles. Not by plan we got involved in our “Old Silo Series”. They are P&G’s, but cachers can’t get enough of them. We are up tp something like 75 now in just 3 months. They are mostly micros hidden roadside, but within sight of an old lone standing silo with the barn no longer there. We get about 100 “found it” logs a week on thess which is double the finds on all of our other hides. Surprisingly very few of the logs are just TFTC. Some are quite lengthy and include photos. Several cachers are addicted to trying to find them all so we are spreading them all over to make it more challenging. We’ll still keep hiding hiking caches, but this has proved to us that everyone’s idea of a fun cache is different.
Congratulations of 2K and thanks for choosing our new night cache for your milestone.
Congratulations on 3K!

I would say congratulations, but “are you nuts” is probably more appropriate. No matter how many times we cache with you and the “kiddos” we are amazed at your accomplishment. We will be waiting to see if you are still carrying them when they start high school.
A really bad idea. This will lead to more cachers placing caches and not intending to maintain them in the future. Why should they if they can get someone else to do it later.
