#640, great cause!
PM sent. I have a few and they are 2007.
Congratulations!!!!!!
Have you defragmented your hard drive? The drive gets fragmented easily and that will always cause application and files to open slowly. The system has to go out and find all the pieces of the application before it opens. Start with a system defrag and see if the response time increases. I also back up my data, format the drive and reload my system about every two years just to clean up all the applications that I have tried and removed. They always leave entries in the system registry. You can also run msconfig from the run line and edit the start-up programs to keep any unwanted applications from executing at start-up and running in the back ground. I agree 4 years is about the life of a PC, but the life can be extended with a little maintenance. If you are not sure how to defrag you system or edit the start-up menu, let me know.
Frizz, this might be the one you read about, though it is currently unavailable. I think people have been started marking them as missing instead. On your travel bug web page, there is a drop down box where you can choose mark as missing and it will move it out of your inventory.
On last night’s 10 O’clock news cast, he said he would be announcing the new cache tonight.
Nice coin, thanks for sharing!!!
I started out Geocaching with an Etrex Legend and used it for two years with no problem. Soon, the unit’s video display started acting up and eventually could only see half of the screen. I purchased a 60 CS and have used it for the last year. My son wanted to have one to use and I decided to send mine in to have it rebuilt. I called them up to ask about the process to have it refurbished and we began talking about what was wrong with it. I was amazed that after three years of use, that they would repair it under warranty. I also received a different unit and it looked almost new. Garmin’s customer service seems to be top notch… 😀
Even after tapping a few beers, I still didn’t understand it. 🙂
Sounds like a good time. Count me in too.
Often times a great cache is a reward in itself and if there are several of them, well that’s even better. With the current popularity of geocoins I think this would be a great reward.
Welcome Samm! Group hunt are alot of fun…..Count me in. 🙂
Sounds cool, let me know if you need more help.
My son started cub scouts a few months ago and he is having a blast with it. He wants to show his den all about Geocaching, so we will have to plan something in the spring. I think it will be a lot of fun.
I took a mini vacation with my family up in Door County over Labor Day weekend and had a blast. My son and I cached as much as we could with out irritating my wife, who is not into caching at all. There are still many caches left for us to find the next time we get a chance to go back. We stayed in Baileys Harbor and found out quickly that the short time we were there was not enough to explore the area. I can’t wait to go back and maybe I can get my wife a little more on board with the caching by then. 😀
