I also am interested in a 2007 Geocoin for my husband. We began our geocaching experience on Christmas day 2007.
We would be willing to pay for a coin and shipping costs (as needed) if anyone has an extra coin they would be willing to part with.
Thanks
Sherri
Team KrackerWelcome and nice to meet ya!
Congratulations! Grandparents are a grand thing… You can sugar up those kids and then give them back to the parents when you get tired 🙂
This is the stamp we just received after I checked out your link. Another item we can add to the cache bag. I turned out pretty neat for being (almost totally) Free! As Kracker always likes to say, “Anything Free is worth saving up for” 😆
Thanks!
I wanted to see the exhibit when it was in Chicago but never got there. I’m looking forward to a family jaunt to Milwaukee to see it. This exhibit is part of the reason I was prompted to get a family membership at the Museum this year. 🙂

If we go with the parrot coin, you can partner with someone if you agree upon colors and personalization- then you could split the order and get 10 each. I have not gotten any quotes on the cow coin yet so I don’t know about numbers with that coin yet.
If 2 people went in on a set of 20, all 20 coins would have to have the same wording on them? I’m just trying to get clarification.
Rubeeslpr wants to split an order and I decide to go in on the venture.. we couldnt have 10 coins that say Rubeeslpr and 10 coins that say Team Kracker, correct? They would all have to say the same thing on the front?
We are like Bec, interested in a new geocoin but price is key.

Another reason to be prepared for anything when you go hiking… .especially for women:
Thats a great reason to be with a “team” while geocaching as well.
Wow, I didnt see this post until today. Thanks for the gratz everyone.
MikeB, wish I’d had that tip on “normal-sized” caches a few days ago. We have been trying to hit all the local caches whenever we have a spare hour of daylight, but a few have eluded us because they are micros.
But that isn’t stopping us.. No Way!
I am truly addicted and glad to be part of the cult…err.. umm.. club. I tell everyone about geocaching, I spend at about a half hour a day on gc.com looking for and researching caches that are within the time and distance constraints that I have after getting home from work.
It is such an adventure, as well as great exercise. My husband and I could both stand to lose some weight and this is one way we plan on accomplishing that task.
Thanks all!@PCFrog wrote:
For your legal rights that some might not tell you about please read this.
Wisconsin StatutesPCFrog, this was some great info to pass on here. I knew that if a dog inflicts harm to People on 2 ocassions there is an order for the animal to be put down, however I didn’t know that it also included other domestic animals.
Team Bear Bear, I would suggest doing some investigation and find out if there has been other reports filed against this woman and her dogs for harm they may have inflicted. If so, then go to your town board and present this information and ask that an order be issued for these dogs to be either removed from her custody or put down.
I know, as a dog lover myself, this is hard. But if these dogs have harmed other animals, or even people before, and they hit Powder this time.. they will do it again. The potential is there for them to harm people as well and that endangers every person in the neighborhood. On another note, this is one reason why I am very thankful that we have a fenced in yard for our dogs protection. Coated chicken wire and posts do a wonderful job.
Great! I’m not too far off then from what you guys have in your bags.
We probably aren’t done with it yet since we are just starting and its winter now, so as the seasons change we’ll put more in. Currently:3 glow sticks
mini-mag flashlight
extra batteries
small first aid kit
pens and pencils
pencil sharpener
compass
swag and trackables
hand warmers
gloves and hatMy husband and I actually did some caching on Saturday after getting yet another 7 inches of snow. It was one I wanted to hit just to pick up the trackable.. that came from Slovakia!
Ok.. we are new to caching and I thought this was mega cool. But it was super worth it to geocache in the snow!
I think it just adds to the adventure when you gotta dig through a couple inches of snow to find the cache when you just KNOW its gotta be here somewhere! For all your snow woes, I wrote this little ditty to put a smile on your face.
(to the merry tune of Jingle Bells, starting with the verse)Caching in the snow
We’re bundled up real tight
Before we leave the house, are the coordinates punched in right? The roads are still a mess
Cars are sliding to and fro
But there’s only one good question that I’d really like to know.. Ohhhh!Geocoins, Travel bugs, what will we find today?
Action figures, zipper pulls, stuff we’ll pick up on the way.. Hey!
Gags and swag, tons of fun, Geocaching is a blast!
Caching in the snow is the way to go
FTF?? Heck no, we’ll be the LAST!Interesting link, however we’ve got like 5 inches of snow already today, but no matter how I view it, it doesn’t record/show any snow in our area.
Guess I’ll check it out later, maybe it isnt updated to anything today since it says “in the preceding 24 hours”.
Hi there! I’m new also, from SE Wisconsin. I get up to the Baraboo area several times a year and look forward to geocaching there on some of our vacations.
Glad to meet ya!
