I Love TBs!!! I also have a Travel Bug Spa..and we placed it not too far off of I-94 so that it would be easy to get on and off to help to move the bugs. I also made it an easy find for the same reason.
We didn’t leave any instructions as far as take one leave one as we want them to move. Right now there is only one bug in my spa and I am fine with that. I do drop them off in there if it is needed, but I don’t feel obligated to keep it stocked. Others will drop off bugs…less rules the easier it is. We did chose to make ours a Members Only cache-not to be exclusionary, but because we didn’t want any added possiblity of plundering since we are talking about bugs…and also it is a nice little bonus for paid memebers.
Bugs are fun! Let’s keep them moving.
Ms. WISearcher
oh, and I made the mistake once of grabbing a whole bunch of bugs because I could help them move…and then when I got home and looked at the cache page to log the cache I realized that it was a take one leave one situation. I felt bad. I did make a note of my mistake on the cache page, and made a special trip back again at a later date to add a few more bugs back in it (and swapped a few too).
I would agree with Green bay Paddlers that the Bearskin is a great trail! Very family friendly as well with not too many big hills (there is only one hill that I can think of)I have enjoyed it several times….
Also the Elroy Sparta is a lot of fun with camping along the way. Who doesn’t love a few cool tunnels?
If you ever get up to the more northern region of our state then you might consider trying the Gandy Dancer. It goes on forever (At least it seemed so for me). When I lived in St. Croix Falls I would jump on it and spend the day biking and never know where it ended. Nice level and well maintained.
Hey Guys…We have one that wants to get to Las Vegas…you would be getting it a lot closer. We will be at the MOAB on Saturday…maybe we can arrange to leave it in a cache for you to pick up sice you wont be able to be at the actual breakfast. Let us know. It would be nice to help it out.
COuldn’t be happier for the two of you!!! Congrats…this is an impressive milestone! here’s to many many more geocaching adventures!
Yep…that’s no rumor…I was witness…but we will wait to have all of the logs in…the suspense is killing me!!!

Yeah! Congrats…here’s to many more!!!
I thought that I would take a quick moment to reply. In my opinion, I see the issue as a matter of judgement. I do not feel comfortable placing judgements on others or on others’ opinions/ideas/creativity.
What to some may be “lame” (and I really don’t like that word), to others may be meaningful.
I know that there are extreme situations where there are communities that have placed a huge numbers of caches that don’t seem to be placed for any reason other than placing a cache to help increse numbers…and we had experienced this in a recent out of state trip…and I know that ‘Lil Otter mentioned recently that she had a similar experience.
I don’t think that those are the types of situations that peole in our state are referring to. I feel so lucky to be a part of such an active state and one that shows concern for more than numbers (yes, numbers can be fun).
I see the real issue being that there are people that feel that it is fine to judge others as though their ideas are better or more important…I do not think this is a practice that anyone should do…I will not judge anyone for doing it…I will just not do it.
I recently had the experience where I completed a cache that wasn’t at all enjoyable for me…while chatting with other cachers I found that one of them really had enjoyed and shared reasons…I am glad that I didn’t ruin this cacher’s experience by sharing what I had thought of it prior…who am I to judge? I am simply a member of this community…moreover, I hope that I give a lot to it…I hope my caches bring you to worthy locations…I hope not to waste anyone’s time.
I amazed at how often I am humbled in this activity…one would think that after getting a few caches under one’s belt that you have an idea about the way things work…I am humbled almost everytime I go out by others’ creativity and the beauty of places that I get to see.
I know that I will continue to encounter caches or areas that are fabulous…and ones that will make me question what the cache placer’s intention was in bringing me to an area…but I chose not to judge…it is not my place.
oh, and for the record I was quite surprised that Tony started this thread…but I thank him for giving me a platform for sharing opinions openly…without judgement.
