Go with what has been talked for 1-10. And then merge the raffle idea for the donated geocoins.

Everyone that has participated, including the top 10 down to last place and raffle off the geocoin, or use a randomizer or something. If it goes to a top 10 finisher it was with the odds, if it goes to an 11-last it was with the odds :/ just throwing that idea out there. But provides everyone that played the chance.

And if you feel that the 3rd place is still going to feel left out, maybe up the gas card to $15, I was just throwing ideas out there with pricing and making a difference between 1st,2nd,3rd.

I’ll try again. Apparently I didn’t upload any of my presentations from last year. I have attached last years stat presentation, a link to the photo presentation (to large to be uploaded to the forums)

I also don’t currently see/have the general “This is what LCG is ” presentation that at least Becca created in the past. The link from an email no longer exists, so I’ll have to either search the forums or maybe on some of my flash drives or something from last year. Maybe Aaron would have it too.

That said. I feel I would stick to similar as last year and propose the following.

1st: $25 gas giftcard (last year was kwiktrip)

2nd: $15 gas giftcard (last year was kwiktrip) (last year i believe was $10)

3rd: $10 gas giftcard (last year was kwiktrip)

Since tie for 1st: I propose

Tied teams each: $25 gas giftcard

then the “3rd” place team: $10 gas gift card

 

If we want to provide the donated to geocoins then to the top 2 teams(then might want to provide something for 3rd), or add to a selection pool of those and then low priced products from the WGA store for the next 7 places (ie lanyard, cachkinz tag?, very old design shirts?, whatever else there currently is).

Not sure if donations like this from the WGA is a viable option or not. But a proposal I’m making.

As shared in a FB chat the other day with Pete & Russ.

Last years prizes where

$25 gas gift card and WGA geocoin for 1st

2nd & 3rd got $10 gas gift card and WGA geocoin (I think one got the Gold and the other Silver)

The next 4-10 present got a prize and typically then if one wasn’t present it went to then 11 and so on, til 10 got prizes. That consisted of something cheap from the WGA store last year, ie lanyard or whatever else there was.

I know that was a bit of a nice prize both being a past participant and then winner and good incentive 🙂 (I know hard to speak when your the winner Dawn 🙂 )

2 years ago an Ammo can  was donated for 1st (and might of been last year too, cant remember). and then the remaining prizes where a mix of nic nacks that was gathered.

 

<b>Now this is my opinion and more of something I’m proposing for the BOD for future years with LCG to probably figure out.</b> I think there needs to be a solidifying of the prizes to be a standard, and then to add that to the LCG rules page on the website. Each year there is always this discussion as to what are we giving as prizes, I know afterwards last year there was talk on making either a geocoin/pathtag or something else that was unique to LCG winners, whether top 3 or top 10.  I feel to keep either incentive for players to know what they are playing for (not that it should be needed) and for clarity when it comes to the recognition event each year to have something defined out as it feels it comes as more of an afterthought and last minute scrambling as the event date approaches from last years experience, and from what it has seemed reading past years event forum threads as well.

I use either the cache listing itself or my own personal webserver. Since you don’t have the second option. You can upload the photos to the cache page listing itself.

Photo 1: Where to upload photos

Photo 2: Where you can find them(It is the Upload link and the edit link next to it). You can then right click and find something along the line of “copy link address” or “copy link” or whatever your OS/WebBrowser shows, and then you can use that link like you did the photobucket link. Or if that provided HTML code you would want to past where the following example has LinkHere. ex.

There is a video in addition to the handy dandy PPT that you made Becca? Or we looking to make a video. I can do that somepoint soon if needed. I was planning to get that slideshow at least added to the LCG page(s) soon as that could be a useful tool for those interested.

Also I’ll work to get the other slideshows uploaded to the forums to share, its just they are on a different computer and its been a busy week 🙂

Not presentation wise. But added 6 more caches in the park area over lunch and got their pages submitted, now wait and see if they get approved before Saturday. Was hoping to get them out earlier but oh well, figured I’d help add to the fun. One of them I’m not sure due to the mysteries nearby and could potentially be in conflict.
