After figuring out how it all works, okay may just how a teeny tiny bit of it works. I was able to at least temporarily get past the errors and get the list uploaded. That is until again in two months and we will see haha.

Anyways Go find those Lonelys and Submit them now for points!!!

Thanks for getting the new list available though!!

Do you have the upload file? I can try and take a look at it today if Bryan isn’t already on it. If you can send me the upload file that would be great then. ([email protected])

My guess and from the way it sounds in their emails and then solidified with their website http://www.geocachingfilmfestival.com/events/ I’m going to go with that their will be events at various locations around the world like last year organized by local cachers.

I know I’ve been trying to think of a good one to submit but have been lack of ideas, got some equipment to be able to do so but need the idea first that is going to be award winning.

I’ll try and take a look at it soon within the next few days as it seems it still isn’t working. I haven’t messed with the APIs yet but no time like the present to learn.

But sadly as of current I won’t be making the campout this weekend 🙁

Looking forward to seeing the new list and where they are going to be dispersed.

Over the past 2 months there was 39 additional reports compared to March/April of 2015, major growth in number of players since the LCG event in march about doubling the amount of players from March/April of 2015 and from Jan/Feb of this year.

Out of the 186 Reports for March/April, 120 were FOUND IT logs! Granted some of those finds are on the same caches by multiple players but that is hopefully going to clear out a number of the caches in the list.

Awesome Job everyone and may the odds be ever in your favor!!

My guess is it is related to some setting with your IE since its limited to the one browser with you and works in your other(s) browsers along with others including myself being able to see the image and not the image itself. I’m able to see page banners on my work windows computer(including IE), personal mac computer, and both phone and tablet, plus I can see the images in my iphone app that is able to view the cache page HTML like you would on the website.

Try the link that Chris provided: http://wi-geocaching.com/banners/banner-large-border.gif

Which that is the direct link to the image. If it ends up showing up try viewing the cache pages again. If it doesn’t show there feel free to check out one of my cache pages that the image should be working for all: http://www.coord.info/GC6G1MH

Try clearing out your cache and temporary files. Could be an issue where IE tried to download and never finished so it has a corrupt file that won’t display that is kept in cache.

Any special caches to see in the area? I’ll be on many off road trails so Terrain should not be an issue.

Looks like GCXX3N would be great terrain one [:D]

The lonely caches are the ones Mr. Evil & I like. Long hikes off the beaten path in little known areas. If it wasn’t for attending the WGA Sponsored Event, we may have never gotten involved. Educating the membership really works!

I agree, part of the fun and enjoyment of targeting these caches, plus you can usually come across a few others along the path. Seen more new places that I want to come back and revisit and spend more time at due to the game vs randomly picking a spot to go out caching. I also enjoy that most of them also end up being on the larger size too which is a nice change from the pill bottles and other micros in the cities(granted I’m guilty of hiding my far share haha)!

I don’t get stuck, just temporarily hanging out in a spot…..

It’s been a little fun since the event with others getting into the game. Team zeevil beating me to ones I was planning to visit soon, also had one where I DNF after 40some minutes and they found it the next day (grrrrr that was 30 some points haha)

Fun to see where the next round of caches end up being due to the number of people getting out and finding the lonelies out there.

So I have updated the quotes tonight to work straight from our website. Chris, I updated your blurb that you placed on the page, could be updated as I’m not an english major. Plus I added some formatting to hopefully make that page a little more user friendly as well.

I guess we can leave the text files if people want to use for future use themselves or if we want I suppose we can hide/remove them now that the quotes are working. Whatever we want to do.

I have been using project-gc like dmnrec and that has satisfied most of my needs and does corrected cords automatically from my personal notes. Haven’t been able to truly test out GSAK though due to having a mac as my personal computer and GSAK doesn’t want to authenticate with GC using my work laptop (likely being blocked or something). But either GC.com does it for me with its PQ’s if not I step to project-gc which I do pay for

I think GSAK does not work with macs. You probably know that, but just a heads up for anyone else looking into it.

Correct thats why it doesn’t work on that laptop :/ .

It’s one thing when the TB’s get stolen or disappear, another when your cache gets stolen… But from your front yard!! Guard dogs weren’t on their game I guess haha, I remember I was second guessing going after the cache the first time when they were all barking haha
