Yeah, we are super fortunate that my company has provided us a place to live. My wife works at a staffing company here in town and housing is the major issue for filling jobs. McDonalds is starting at $16 per hour. There are unlimited jobs available.

Yes Pete, there was a dinosaur attached to that travel bug…that was a weird one, I think someone just attached something to it so it was not just a tag.

Yep, Rockin the Bakken….it is absolute insanity out here. $3,000 a month for a three bedroom apartment, $1,800 to rent an RV in somebodies backyard. People are even paying $200/night to live in the hotels, thats 6 grand a month, and every hotel is booked solid for months and months. New hotels are completely booked for a year before they are even built. People living in the walmart parking lot. The walmart shelves are always picked bare. It’s very interesting to say the least. Nowhere else are the wealthy homeless, just because there is no housing to be found.

Cannot wait to escape back to Wisconsin for a few days, will be great!

JimandLinda, I see that Dave is doing a great job maintaining our old caches, and we really appreciate that!

Its been months since I have checked these forums..popped in and saw this thread. Thanks for all of the kind words! I have been here a week and really like the area. I am hoping to get out to do some caching this next weekend. Bakrdz…don’t worry, the better half is still in Wisconsin. I am here temporarily, with a good chance of it becoming permanent.

A big thanks to Dave(Jstajlr) and Ed(CodeJunkie) for taking over our caches for us. It was hard to let them go, but it makes me feel better knowing they are being taken care of in my absence.

    Keep on caching!

Don’t bother calling…..my phone lost a battle with a skid-steer this week at work. Waiting to get my new one!

I would go with ya Kev…but this Saturday is shotgun sight in morning, and working in the wood shop the rest of the weekend. I have three end-grain cutting boards to make for a customer to give as gifts. I also am making my niece a full size barbie dollhouse…its a lofty project. Stop over for a “soda” if your in the area though!

I am just upset with myself that I did not find it first. I have seen that stack my whole life, but never knew it was on public land!!

    Kudos

Thanks again everybody for playing, it was fun to watch the progress. I made a few moves, but not allot.

I followed them to their journey today. I had found the cache before under a different username. I told them it was their baby, and I offered no help. They did great and made it look easy. As stated we ran into Ed right afterward and had a little chat. My parents never look at these forums, but I will be sure to convey any congrats to them.

    They really had a blast.

Yes, thank you so much for all that you do. I know I have made a few mistakes and have made them do things they should not have to. The do it in stride and make the process as easy as possible. Not enough can be said, and we appreciate it no matter good or bad!

If you would be willing to go along with a Husband/Wife team we would love to meet up with you some weekend and do a little caching. We love caching with others, and meeting new people. We will be caching this weekend on Sunday, probably with my parents as well, so it would be a group. Plus there are plenty of great caches in that area we have not hit yet as well.
