so your saying armchair caching is the safest way to go….got it!!
geocaching is a hobby and not a game, but this survivor is a game on top of our hobby. Its like musical chairs, except in this case someone is sitting in a chair and putting their hands on the two chairs besides them.
thats not how I learned how to play musical chairs, thats out right cheating.
so on the geocaching side of it I could care less if they want to cheat, they have to live with what they have done/not done, but when we ARE playing a game on top of it you would think they could play fair. But some people have to cheat to win, I guess its the only way they know how to.
Not to steal this thread, but its MY birthday today too!!
So happy Birthday Bec, we are not fools, but close.
Way to Go!! I like the almost 10% puzzles at 5000, I can only hope to have that many.
Congrats!!!!!!!
The first cache Brian ever found was 49er cache in Pella Iowa with Swamphog
The first cache Muggle B ever found was a guard the rail by NeonRide, I ended up adopting that cache, so now its mine. I also updated the container from a 35mm to something a lot more fun.
Like Trekkin and Birdin said Letterboxing
I use Atlasquest to look at the listings for them, they compile listings from other Letterbox sites, so most times letterboxes are listed on more than one site.
Congrats!! that was a fun one and defiantly worth it for a milestone. I think you were around 1500 when I first met you two. So ive been around for half of your finds.
cache on
The only WSQ type cache I put out the stone was a little hard to read, but I couldn’t use any other stone it the place. They were the first settlers to the area, so that stone had the most significance. Anotherwords I chose the person then found the stone, I didn’t choose that stone because it would make it a challenge for the finders.
and yes, CJ found that stone online too.
Yaaaaaa!! Now Ill be able to find some of those caches that are deep in the woods.
Sometimes when I use street view I feel like im cheating, because I know where GZ is better than someone with a GPS.
As the maps get better, my way of caching only gets easier.
If I ever break a leg, then i start waymarking, until then Ive got bigger fish to fry than a McWaymark
nah, won’t effect me one bit. 🙂
Im honored that you held off on some caches to line up this one as your milestone. Im glad I could get you and my dad together for a cache, sorry it wasn’t a fun swampy hog run and more of a PAG, but im sure it was memorable anyways.
congrats
I wish I could do some of this fancy computer stuff and fix my maps, now not only do the maps take forever to load (if they load at all) but it seems like it takes a couple minutes just for the caches to pop up.
worst “ugprade” geocaching.com has done ever IMO
this really makes caching sooooo much harder for me. Oh well Im always up for a challenge.
I was surprised by all the action compared to last year. My measly 35pts got me 2nd place last year. 52.5 now and im in like 9th.
maybe they won’t realize its a leap year and the list will come out tomorrow
edit:
I see you scribbled your name to the bottom of the list this month Jim ;0sounds L1ke a fun day caching with fr1ends for your 1K mad mult1, and event to celebrate.
congrats!!
