I concur. I would suggest staying away from bottled water at the all too convenient gas station. Filter water at home, if you do so, and make a collection of 20oz pop bottles. Those .69, .99 cent, and larger bottles do add up after a while.
I also have completed about 5. One that stood out to me was Soudan Underground Mine State Park Wildlife Safari (GC1P4ZE).
I was really impressed with the park staff at all the parks. Every one we ran into picked us out as Geocachers and came up to us and started a friendly conversation. It was a very nice warm welcome to the parks.
If anyone wants to see the internals of the Nuvi series, the software side, I wrote a post describing the BSD and GPL licensed software these devices use: Garmin GPS Source Code and Platform
This event is now listed on Trimble Outdoors:

Be sure to join this group if you have the time.

First, that’s awesome feedback, well done you two!!!
I agree. That is really cool that the DNR is again taking great interest in geocaching!
Very nice, thanks! Posted the link on my Blog.. (Blog Post)
I would be lost without finding my way to a geocache. Dork myside! 😉
It is too much of a thrill and an adrenaline rush when you spot that, out of ordinary speck of a container, not to mention the satisfaction of logging a tough find – to give up the hunt?
That is not to say hiding a cache and watching the finds come in is not a thrill, I just prefer the challenge of the outdoors and the unknown.
I will be attending with mad_geek. We are heading that way early Friday morning from Madison, though we have to be in the La Crosse area Saturday afternoon so we will not be staying the entire weekend.
I can not believe all the hides in a 7 mile Radius! I am pumped!

“La Crosse`s sunken treasure” GC1CP77
It was so obvious and soo easy, I had to give up and come back to make the FND. I had to laugh about it. Loved it!
Welcome! I am rather new also and have found this place to be a pleasantly friendly place to come and gather.

I hope to start at gc1amxg then go north or start with
1apw8 and work our way south
and maybe meet at 10AM.post here if this works or changes can be made
That would work for me. I will have to work on transportation though.
I published “Two Ancient Roads Until Beauty” – as so I decided to name it. Thanks to your association and documentation, I had it approved by the DNR. The geocache code is: GC1GJYH
I have had one find for this hide. They posted a few pictures, one of the water crossing to the cache included. Brrrr, it was night and that water must have been cold!
