Thank you! That’s just what I was looking for.

I’ve never used this software myself as all the newer garmins you can edit the startup(welcome) screen from within one of the menus, though I’m sure this is what you are looking for.
http://www.milvang.no/gps/gpswarn.htmlThanks for the offer! I’m about 150 miles north of Darien, in Appleton. After discussing with the missus last night, it sounds like we’re not going to take our road trip after all. But I still may want to borrow your spare unit to spend some of the weekend geocaching. 150 miles is a long way to go, though. I’ll be sure to leave another message here with more info as the week goes on.
I was wondering about all the traffic at Swamp Cache yesterday (Jan 13). The thought had crossed my mind about it being a meeting place for gays. The weather was cold and windy, so I doubt there was any ‘leap frog’ going on in the bushes. I was observed at the cache, so perhaps it should be checked to make sure it’s still there.
Even later in this discussion . . .
Another option is a WGA-labelled CD. CD-R disks are VERY inexpensive, watch for sales at local computer stores. A stack of 100 can be had for $20 or so. A pack of 50 paper CD envelopes can be had for less than $10, if I remember correctly. Labels can be printed with the logo and stuck on each one. And what would be on the CD? That’s up to WGA. A link to the web site of course, and to geocaching.com. Maybe some photos of favorites places, past gatherings, etc., the WGA theme song (make one up!). Once a ‘master’ disk has been created, it can be distributed and freely copied among WGA members. CD Writers are becoming more prevalent all the time. My $.02 worth.quote:

A little late on this discussion, but I found this link to a wooden nickel site that I was investigating for pricing and quantities. The prices are pretty reasonable.

Try this site, Nat’l Weather Service office at Green Bay. Click on the links for Daily Snowfall and Daily Snow Depth.

I’ve been looking on the net for something that shows new fallen snow in areas. I want to go back to a cache thats about an hour and a half away but if there is more than a dusting of snow, it would be a waste of time, gasoline and mileage off my extended warranty.Anyone know of such a site?
