Thanks everybody for your help! The more volunteers we have the easier it will be for all.

I would be happy to show them how to get lost with a map and compass (orienteering). But I don’t have my schedule set for this coming summer so keep me informed as for dates.

As long as we are talking about volunteering I will need four or five people to help with a cub/boy scout event February 5th 9:00 A.M. to early afternoon in Verona at the Badger Prairie Park. At my station I will have four or five teams compete to find their cache. I will need volunteers to instruct the team in the use of a GPS furnished by the volunteer and to help in finding a cache.

I will repost this near the end of December as a reminder.

OuttaHand I was thinking the same thing. To go educate the local police about geocaching and to let them know were there are caches in the area.

I got the canoe but not the time, the weekend before or weekend after would have been ok but I will be at the Telemark Resort in northwestern Wisconsin doing a 2-day USOF 2004 U.S. Individual Orienteering Championships event. Sounds like fun WI Geocachers Fall Paddle for the ones that can make it, hope this will become an annual event.

Way to go Jeff! It was fun caching with you on your way to 1,000. Up to your knees in snow and bare foot crossing a stream thank goodness not on the same outing. Say nothing about all the great caches you have put out.
