I have to be back to Appleton by 545, so I have to leave by 5. I will be at the event early and then we can meet up and go caching for a few hours.

I am not sure if you use GSAK or not but I use it to filter caches that have been found since we have had snow on the ground. In my database – updated yesterday – there are 314 caches that have been found since December 20th ( About when I remember having Snow cover ) Now I live in Appleton and have it cached thin so these are only in my PQ of those I have not found. That covers From Oshkosh to GB. I would think there would be quite a bit more just in Appleton that I have already found.

Just a Suggestion that helps me when I go to a new area.

As far as Individual Caches to do? Stay away from mine – Nothing special about them but they should all be winter friendly. Any of the Over Under through might be a good hunt this time of year – unless this weather stays warm. Good hides be prepared to look for awhile. Bus Stops here are all winter friendly but those are for numbers – easy hides.

Anything Groundspeak can do? I doubt it – doesn’t violate there Terms either.

Funny you should mention them. I just started on episode 1 a few weeks ago and have listened to about half so far… Hoping to catch up so I can participate with dw4 and the bad cop

I would agree – but there are so many ways and apps and approaches. This is only one way to do it plus this is for Android only – Apple People would be out of luck for this walk through

I am just going to briefly hijack this forum as I dont want to start a new one –

Quick questions Can you have different Display Options for different Databases? IE – I have a puzzle database and a DNF Database I do not need the Corrected Coords indicator in the later –

Also just want to add that the excact same steps I use on my Nexus 7. Same set up and really the only thing it is good for is a larger screen. I dont use it as often but I usually load it up at the same time and keep it with me.

Also I just loaded 250 way marks from Waymarking.com into a GSAK database and transferred the GPX file to CGEO – they show up as a different icon so its easy to set them apart from te Geocaches.

My Wife, Mother of my child is not a fan of geocaching – or driving 2 hours Mothers Day Weekend to geocache – That being said I have never been to a campout so this might be worth the week in the dog house or working really hard the weeks leading up to it… We will see but I am leaning towards a yes!

As one who has been married a few more years than you, I would suggest honoring the mother of your child, aka your wife – rather than geocaching for the weekend. There will be other caching events that do not fall on Mother's Day!

Thank you for your Kind words of wisdom – but I do believe a solid marriage is built on Compromise? And isn’t there a nice outlet mall just 4 miles from the campground? I think there can be plenty of comprising between the two 🙂 BTW my campsites for the campers are booked 🙂 See you in May!!!
