Congrats on the job! Last time I was on campus they were tearing down buildings and doing renovations so I don’t know if I could find the ELC anymore!

My daughter is writing about her favorite restaurant. The directions say in “Klamath Falls or Medford”. She hasn’t been to either to eat. She is writing about Mickey Lus! We needed prices so I called (still have the number in my phone). Just beat closing time.
Double cheeseburger is $4.20. Wish we could get one delivered. And a Brothers 3 pizza. And some Thai Cuisine. And a perch fry.
I’m done now

Weather? A little rain is on the way this weekend. Did I miss something? 3-day weekend and rain.

On my phone so brevity more than content.
I miss the LCG or rescues. So many in this area would qualify but go ignored. I like the history associated with those caches and keeping the game going. I like the camaraderie that comes with those finds. Working with others to find them, or find them first 🙂
I can still wade through snow (if we ever get any) and bushwhacking isn’t something to turn me away. I don’t mind clever urban caches (but my wife hates them).
I will stop for guard rail hides, but prefer more than that.
My my own hides are nothing special. No nearby places like WRSP or public land to hide on. Right now I am focused on getting people out here from Klamath, or traveling cachers to stop. Plans in place for more & better soon. My write ups are more creative than the containers.

I am still amazed how many kids out here already know what geocaching is. And no, we don’t teach it at school.
One of the girls said she saw me in town this weekend standing by a tree with my phone in my hand. I told here I was placing a geocache. Most of the class started talking about how fun caching is. A couple even know started comparing their log in names! They wanted me to choose which one was cooler.
The next hour made me feel old. One of the junior boys wanted to show me where he went over the weekend. Google “Gearhart Mountain”. They hiked it. For fun. Five guys. Six hours up to the peak at 8000′ and 4′ of snow. He said coming down was fun because they could slide and jump.
I told him next time to let me know and I’ll give him a cache to place 🙂 he said they found one! Not at the summit but at the parking lot, in pieces and he left it there. Nothing comes up as an active cache, the closest one would be GC2R6HA but they found it at the gravel pit NE of the lake. That was their starting point. Amazing hike, and just for fun.
