Personally, I don’t have time to maintain nearly 300 PnG’s in addition to my own caches and the 192 cache WGA geoart.

As I was in the area today, it hit me that these are the new Chevygirl caches: tons of them in signs along the roadside that will eventually all need to be archived. Submitted one today that is gone.

No FTP but a FTF today. Visited two great parks too.

I may have missed the LCG finds (congrats Jim&Linda) but I get the FTP today.

    Page 1300 on the day I found 2500 (a simple little P&G).

On a sadder note, there was just notice here that Reloader54494 has passed away. I never met the CO, but I did post a message to the family.

I know two more of his rifle themed caches are on the LCG list and have several DNFs posted as the last attempts. Since they are all typically just sign post P&Gs I never bothered to go look for them. I was waiting for the owner to do maintenance instead of driving up there for a DNF and a couple of game points.

School starts next week for us.

    Anyone have any happier messages?

DNF on a fake rock hidden under who knows how much pine needles with bouncy coordinates and a CO that lives three hours away. DNF on another cache from the same CO after walking through cattails to get to the dry clump of land where a tree grown (neat location). DNF on a cache that has always been 40′ off and an inactive CO. DNF on a cache hidden in an active dog park with bouncy coordinates and people and dogs watching me wander around in circles in the brush. But, seven finds, including one that had really given me fits in the past.

Other than the DNFs, a good day of caching before we start having inservices for teachers later in the week.

I plan on hosting my event sometime before the snow falls. It will probably be in Adams at one of the parks to keep me away from being around people indoors. I will let you know more when I know more.

Good question. I already had Washington on my list.

I spoke too soon. The two typical fast solvers have it already. They never find them because the closest one is in Illinois. There should be someone else (or maybe two/three) on the West coast that should be working on them too. I have no issues whatsoever if anyone reaches out to them for nudges, although I am always happy to supply hints.

I made one of them “solveable” and the other Oregon level difficulty. I haven’t heard from my normal “first to solve” buddy, so it’s about the difficulty I wanted with a D5. That gives Rome two tough ones and one that can be a nice entry point for local cachers into puzzle caches.

Congrats BigJim, good luck on the FTF!

Hey. Whoever is watching for “Needs Archive” posts, I just submitted one that was previously posted two years ago as being on private property. Just drove past it tonight and it is gated off and has been for some time. Even though it has been found in the past two years, people have been trespassing to do so. It’s a Chevygirl cache, so don’t expect any user action on the cache.

Amazingly, a clear cutting by the Town of Rome missed one of my caches. One maintained, four found (finally) and two more placed. Enjoy the new puzzles everyone.

Yes, my puzzles in Oregon are harder than the ones I have placed here, so far.
