Inservice day today. Woohoo.
The best sig is no sig.
One garden tilled. The other rough tilled and ready to be fully worked over tomorrow. Maybe finding a cache too? It has been a long time! We’re still 20 days from getting our second shot.

Three new puzzle caches in Wautoma area. Incredibly, the first one (A Puzzlement) was solved within seconds of being published.

Can’t remember you might have to go through all the initial steps to creating your cache page and then go back and Edit your cache page. There should be able to either add cache images to the gallery or should be able to click an add/upload photo button in the editor for the cache page description. Here is Groundspeaks support article https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=97&pgid=59
I see it now. The text on the “edit cache page” is all so generic it’s not easy to spot. Thanks for the reminder!

My first thought was posting the picture on an archived cache of mine, but I don’t think that’s an option either.

What’s the work around for putting a picture on a cache page? It suggests putting it in the gallery, but I don’t see how to have the picture there prior to publishing the cache and then uploading.
I’m still alive. One shot down for the entire family, three more weeks for the next one, then it’s almost back to life time.

Checking in. No caching. Not much of anything going on other than fighting something that may be bronchitis for a few days now. Dead battery in the Tahoe again. Not sure what we’re going to do about that, we just bought a new battery a couple month ago.

If we play our cards right, we could have page 1225 on Christmas day!

Long time no post! Even longer since caching. Just wanted to check in and let you all know everything is still “normal” here. Enjoy living vicariously through the posts on our caches. Highlight of the last month was selling 10 Christmas trees off our property without advertising. Once people find out they are $20 word gets around.
Zoomed with my in-laws tonight, hoping to be able to do the same with my dad tomorrow.
Hope to be able to meet and spend more time with the cachers in the Sandland area next year, and maybe more time back on here. Merry Christmas to all of you!

Did GeoLiveStrong quit? I noticed a ton of archives by CO in the past couple of days. Bummer, although that took out the Challenge cache almost within sight of my house that I would probably never finish, so that little irritation is gone.
I got excited this afternoon, two new caches popped up within 7 miles of the notice point. Then I saw it was from my alerts for Marinette. Good luck Todd!

Welcome back Todd! Quite a few new caches in the Twin Cities since you were last hunting for them!

We got more rain yesterday than I can remember getting in some time. I’m afraid to go look in our basement.
If you’ve ever wondered how many principals and guidance personnel you need to run a high school for two weeks, the answer in Adams seems to be zero. That crew had an in-person meeting and someone was unwittingly positive at the time. They are all at home for two weeks with the superintendent running the day-to-day show (we all know it’s the secretaries running things).

Looks like we’re out of the slush zone today. Our forecast is to get back into the 60s by the end of the week. Maybe I can do one more day of tilling then!

AFHS has three teachers home on quarantine since last Friday due to a kid testing positive. The kid is actually already back in school, but the teachers don’t come back until Monday. Looks like our self-contained SPED class is also on quarantine. I wondered how they were going to handle those kids all summer. It seems like our plan was to not really have a plan for them. Band and choir are still meeting.
Westfield had to cancel the football game at AF because they couldn’t field a team. Their volleyball team only has 11 girls so they only brought a “varsity” team to play us this week. Their school is also still open.
We just now, as I write this, got an email explaining how we are now going to be allowing outside groups to use our gym for “open gym” again with restrictions. The email also give suggestions from the Medical College of Wisconsin about how to handle Trick or Treating.
I’m sorry if I offend someone when I say this, but I haven’t left my property in over two weeks, and that was to get a curbside pickup of a month’s worth of groceries. I’m getting beyond angry at trying to be maskless kids that are in the classes I teach “in-person” who don’t appreciate the risk people like my family have been under for all these months, and will be for some time to come.
And finally, in one hour from now, 11 AM on October 15th, the 2020 Census will stop counting people. We still have work to do in Milwaukee and Madison, not so sure about LaCrosse and other bigger cities.

Do I get to claim my Earthcache Souvenir if I spent all weekend cutting grass and tilling soil?
