Week two of summer school. One guy has three tests to pass. Not sure we can do it in eight days. Others have a huge number of online work to do because they didn’t get it done during the school year. Surprisingly, they didn’t develop the skills to get these done in the weeks they had off between school and now.

Is there going to be a July/August LCG list? There are a couple on my radar that are close to being on the current list and I’ll be making a trip that will be taking me past them soon.

Whoever khbaker14 is, he’s really been going nuts on cache placements in Marinette County lately.

And they aren’t just cheap recycled plastic containers either. What I’ve found are almost all brand new bison tubes. I wonder if the Chamber would be interested in getting a GeoTour going based around the hides he has, they have a bunch of good history with them besides highlighting noteworthy local spots.

But he has only 7 cache finds…some of his coordinates are a good 30+ feet off. I see he had a bunch more published today…may need to take a little trip again soon. I need another half dozen for the next souvenir šŸ™‚

Yeah, I had that problem (coordinates being off) at a few of the finds, including the one in city park where I got the ftf, but I think I lost my debit card. I noticed the discrepancy been number of find and number of hides too. Really have been thinking about reaching out to them to see if I know them, since I lived there for 45 years. They were really good about communications trying to find the one in Red Arrow Park, even sent them better coordinates so they didn’t have to use “10′ behind the posted coordinates”. Never did find that bugger, but I know where it is generally.

After work yesterday, I stopped at the local grocery store to get what my wife needed to finish supper. Once I finished the shopping, I got into the electric geomobile and started driving home. I looked down and noticed I was unexpectedly driving in kilometers per hour. And that the temperature was in Celcius. And that it was -20C with the car telling me to be careful for ice on the road. Then the warning to get my front view camera fixed popped up. I don’t have one. Then the side detection system. Don’t have one of those. Then other things needed to be fixed that I don’t have. And my battery charge was down to 0% instead of mostly charged – but the car was clearly still running on battery power.

It’s surprising how little information is out there on the web when you search for this problem, but I did find a guy that says you unplug the negative cable on the battery (located in the trunk) and leave it unplugged for 5 minutes. Great! I don’t have the tool needed to do that. Wrong TOTT

Can’t believe all the new caches in Marinette. Saw someone here found the Teacher’s Park one where I came up blank and missed the FTF there. Still haven’t found it. Did manage one FTF while my son and I were up there visiting my dad for a few days. Nice cluster to get a bunch of souvenirs this summer.

Teaching summer school has the advantage of keeping me out of the heat wave but also means I’m not getting anything done either here (because we work in the commons, and I can’t access any of my files for working on notes) or at home. AND I don’t have time to get caches.

    I need caches starting with 0 and 9 and cachers starting with 0, 1, 5, 7 –Ā  9 and Q

It was pretty sparse out in southern Oregon.

We had a webcam cache not too far up the road from our first home in Oregon. Then the road department decided to do roadwork to straighten the twisty, steep road to make it a straight, steep road. Once the powers that be at HQ saw the highway webcam was offline (temporarily) they disabled the webcam. Not much after that, the webcam was back in place but the cache was never allowed to be resurrected.

Got our tractor, delivered, so no trip to Chili or to the new virtual in Marshfield. Garden is 99ish% planted and most of the lawn is cut. Even got the turf out for where we are putting in our chicken coop.

So, my wife has been having a very difficult week – stuff with her family, health issues with her and the kids, recovering from planting in the garden during last weekend’s 90+ degree heat – and I felt she needed a little lift this morning. We talked about this and that before I left for school and then I asked her if she had plans for the day. She said something along the lines of “probably just trying to relax or do some laundry.” Then she asked why I was asking, because I never do (ok, she’s right on that part. šŸ™Ā  ) I said, “Well, with the cooler weather, I thought you would be going caching without me today.” She laughed! She hasn’t laughed much lately. No, she isn’t going caching without me.

Hoping to get a tractor this weekend, may need to drive up to the metropolis of Chili to get it. May entail some caching.

I wonder why it is nobody else is posting right now. I know there’s this thing going on in Cinci right now, but that’s no excuse for the other times people don’t post. Come on thread stealers, get posting!

    You don’t sound very happy.

I also have Cachly are concur that it’s great. I also have used Geo Bucket (free).

Kids may also like keeping track of what their friends are doing. The Hamster app lets to see your friends’ logs. Yes, I’m cyberstalking everyone on here through there.
