We have between 3″ and 3.5″ of craphas here in East of Sandland at 7:30 am. The weather radar shows it not snowing here but my non-radar eyes see that it clearly is.
We were a little bit below that in west Sandland. Still coming down slowly. Nothing like what my dad is getting in Marinette.

If I lived in Marinette, I would’ve found it a long time ago. Speaking of Marinette, it looks like Marinette Co may not have any lonely ones at all? But I’m just going by memory of my borders of the county compared to the satellite map of the list. Are there any counties that don’t have any lonely caches at all?
Menominee County shouldn’t have any lonelies, but that’s because the one cache there is a virtual.
That explains why I don’t have that one off my county list yet.

Can I prorate my score since I only moved back in-state in August? I’d really crush people if ones I found back in Oregon counted. My personal best was on lonely 5 years with a trackable in it. I think I had one unfound for more than 5 years, but the trackable put that one as the top scorer.

One more random thought. I had a dream the other night that we received a letter in the mail from my old school in Oregon. They were offering me a $25k raise (which would almost double the salary I get here in WI), throw in an additional $5k to pay for moving expenses and help us find a house similar to the one we sold before moving back here if we would come back next year.
The guy they hired to replace me quit after two weeks. They moved the 7-9 math teacher up to teaching my classes, and the kids say he doesn’t really understand the stuff – which I believe because it was tough going to ask him if I was doing a problem correctly when I wasn’t getting the answer the (sometimes faulty) answer key didn’t have. I’d have to reteach him things sometimes before we’d put our heads together. Nothing against him, you don’t need to remember precalculus to teach combining like terms for 25 years. 🙂 I’ve had a couple of my former students reach out for help in the past few months… I guess that was weighing on my mind.

Attended a gathering in the Dells for my LTF souvenir. There was one at Mirror Lake on 1/1 but we all laughed at the thought of hiking two miles in the cold. Most people were thinking about going to the “new virtual at the Vets Memorial in Stoughton” instead. Also much discussion and praise about the quality of Dr. Doolittle caches, and lamenting how he seems to be archiving many of them, including one of the new virtuals that was placed (with permission) inside a historic hotel, but when a different manager became upset about random people walking into the hotel, they decided to archive it already.

Closing out the year with a LCG bang!
Not sure about getting to any events for NYE and 1st.
In the past 5 years, the Packers have scored a total of 0 points in games I have attended. They also changed the hot dogs they serve at the games. They don’t score points at games I attend until after I eat a hot dog. They better get rid of those horrible new hot dogs for next year.

You gotta love weather radar. Yesterday it showed us getting snow almost all day and we didn’t get a flake. This morning it shows us being clear and we’ve been getting a very light snow for an hour, granted it’s not amounting to anything.
Funny! People driving from the north said they were getting a lot of snow this morning. We still can barely see anything coming down here.

I think I saw some flakes falling on the way to work this morning. That’s about it. Looking out my classroom window, I can see more grass than snow on the ground.
