Anyone looking for a cache that hasn’t been found since 2004?

Noonan, talk to Lack yet about your big plans?

Sent a message through Geocaching, but no word back yet.

Had a great Father’s Day. I did, in fact, stop at GC1C15 for the first cache of the day, great cache location and a great climb to get to it!

Then it was off to a hit and miss series of AT caches (HP2 will understand the reference) that were either there or very much not there. Most were unfound since 2012, talk about mega lonely cache game points! I need to check when I’m at work tomorrow, but I think I passed the 3000 point mark for Dr AwDwArD’s lonely cache challenges, although I don’t know when I’d ever get north to find those two. Spent about five hours cache and made it back in time for afternoon with the family – nothing special to celebrate, just doing yard work and such.

Hey, we live in the high desert, and we’re still in a drought (although we’ve had rain this past week and throughout the last month) and the mosquitos are as bad as back in WI, except they come out in the middle of the day and like biting when you’re in the sun working in the garden. Not cool!

Unfortunately, we have the same thing out here, with the added sting that we have at least one reviewer that routinely archives caches that Wisconsin would consider lonely, simply because they haven’t been found in years. I’m sure there are many ammo cans in the woods here that are just fine, only no one is going to be looking for them anymore.

Nicely worded letter, I hope I have that much restraint when this happens to me.

How long as it been since I’ve had 3 posts on the same page? Months?

My wife tells me that I get to cache tomorrow to celebrate Father’s Day. Now I need to figure out where to go…I’m thinking in the area of GC1C15  there are a lot of caches hidden in ’01 and ’02 in that area. Maybe GC7D9 first, since it is on the way to the others.

I sure wrote a ton of 6s today. Drove a few hundred miles round trip for an AD meeting – gotta love an athletic conference that covers about 1/4 of the state! Found about 30 on the way there and back – actually sat for three hours in a meeting while there was a cache 40′ from me – and found GC53C for find #1500. It’s been archived but is still there. Absolutely amazing location, highly recommended for those making a trip out here, sure will help those looking to fill or pad old cache spots on the calendar.

Locker clean out day. Last day for kids tomorrow, last day for teachers on Friday. First day for caching Saturday (GET OUT!).

Bought a riding lawnmower from a fellow teacher. It came with 1/2 tank of gas. It took that much to mow the front lawn because parts of it were almost waist high. Used the weed eater last night and got about half of the trimming done before the battery died. Should be able to finish it up tonight, the temperature is supposed to drop out of the 90s for the rest of the week.

Talked to a neighbor the other day. The road we live on now was where I had placed ~50 caches, most of which I thought I had to archive after a land sale surrounding the last 10 miles of the road. Now, I hear that the road won’t be blocked off, just the side roads, so those caches were good…well, I guess I have spots to hide another 50 caches now!

Ok, here’s what’s really on my mind:

My wife is back in Wisconsin with our son. They went back to Marshfield for consultations with his former doctors. His intestinal problems are getting worse and no one out here seemed to want to look into it. Long story, but the doctor that saw him here felt his stomach and pronounced he was good, then told us to feed him more fatty foods (he’s at 1% BMI) and went on her way. No tests, no scans, not even a visit from human services to verify we weren’t starving our kid…something I really thought would happen after we saw how thin he is now.

Marshfield was gobsmacked at the lack of testing they ran out here, drew tons of blood, did scans and decided he hasn’t been in a “normal state” since he was disimpacted in 2009. Much of the treatments they would do normally can’t be done due to his heart arrhythmia, so it is back to old school treatments.

Which, didn’t work. So, she’s on the back to Marshfield doing the next-best treatments through inpatient care for a day or two, and then we hope for the best because the next choice is surgery again, which isn’t good for his heart.

Because of our animals, and expense, I’m staying out here after school is done (with our daughter) and doing my best to comfort my wife from 1700 miles away.

Also, I tried sending Todd a message about setting up one of those long-distance multicaches, but haven’t heard back from him…so…is anyone living in a border region interested in doing a four-state multi? I live just a few miles from California and would really hoping to tie in WI/MI into this (because that’s where I’m from), but WI/MN, WI/IL or WI/IA would work just as well.

Ok. Challenges are back “on” as long as you have an online checker for verification. Anyone have some advice on how to set that up?

There are so many terrorists out here that we don’t even think we will ever get rid of them, just lessen the damages.

An hour from here got 5″ of white stuff yesterday. We just had an all day drizzle.

Chaperoned one of the most boring Proms I have ever been to. They danced as a big blob in one corner of the dance floor almost all night. Hardly any “couples” and nothing that needed adult intervention.

We had 1 chaperone for every 6 kids – massive overkill.

No more days to fill on the calendar until the end of June.
