Agree 100% with both of you. We’re fortunate to have enough to find within 20 minutes (one way) to keep a streak going. If we pushed it out to Point/Plover we could go half a year if we just found one cache a day. I’m just happy that I’ve had time to publish a dozen or so to keep people in the area with new caches to find for things like this. I have four more locations scouted out, but haven’t had the time to go back to place anything yet.

As Amita said, we’d be nowhere without the long time cachers. I met more than a few Charter members out in Oregon and they either still had the passion to complete something like this, or just pick and choose what and when to go. The game for them isn’t about getting a digital icon. I’m especially grateful for those that created the WGA and kept it going all these years!

Still not feeling well enough to be on a boat for 8 hours without access to a bathroom, but well enough to have FTP for July 7th.

Needed to call in sick for my summer job today. Ate something (?) and spent the night feeling nauseous. Also almost missed jumping onto the deck from our boat to haul away seaweed so I have two huge welts on my shin. I must’ve tweaked my back as I fell and twisted to avoid falling backwards into the rows of razor sharp cutters on our boat. It hurts worse than my leg today.

Had to scramble to find a cache today. Almost broke the streak for the souvenir at two because…I won’t go into it here. I just wish there was a way to better educate people hiding caches about how to actually do it.

Is it appropriate to use his picture as part of a WSQ hide? I did, but it is apt.

That yellow shirt on the home page sure is a big change from the typical white & light blue around here. Really catches your eye!

We just got done doing a shopping/caching trip. Can’t recommend highly enough the area around Woodmans in Altoona for more than just caching. We got worn out in the heat today walking the trail to really take in more sights, but it reminded us of Bend, Oregon with all the shops, sculptures and caches with the river flowing nearby. We also stopped at the Veteran’s Memorial attached to this virtual. The description is so brief, it really is jaw dropping when you see what is there. 126 favorite points after our visit today and worth every one of them along with an Adventure Lab.

FTP on July 3rd. Hope your pets are not too upset by all the booms at night. This is our first time without a furry friend in 20 years. It’s been giving us more time to do things like caching, but also strange not having someone around in the mornings, or being scared by the strange noises at night.

Going back through puzzles I have transferred to Word files over the years and sorting ones I have solve/unsolved and Oregon/Wisconsin caches and came across this one. Cache was replaced by someone, so was still in play, but Geocrater archived it anyway.

When I have the most recent post in this thread, I have the most recent post in almost every “active” thread on this site.

One month of summer vacation done. FTP after getting a FTF on the last day of June. Smoke seems to be gone today!

Three day work week here too. Today is work. Tomorrow is my normal day off. Wednesday is a trip to Tomah for routine doctor appointment, then two days of work followed by a four day weekend.

Does this wiki need to be updated to reflect the change in policy?

Why do I have such a hard time of (first) understanding what I need to do in order to earn these new souvenirs, and then finding anywhere on the GC website to monitor my progress. I know there is a leaderboard somewhere, but I’m stumped as to how to find it.

The leaderboard won’t help you with this month’s challenge. It’s find a cache on 20 days. I’m looking at my laptop, so it may be different on a phone, but there is a link on the left side of the dashboard to the Wheel of Challenges, or you can click on “Community” and then “Blog.” I’m at 16 days.

The Wheel of Challenges link takes me to the general information about the challenge. The Blog just takes me to general information about what is going on around the world. I don’t see anything that tells me where I am in my progress. Does that exist?
