So, I can claim the CITO for picking up garbage here? I did…
We had attended at CITO in WRSP two years ago. Great time and some very interesting things! We’ll never forget coming back a couple hours later with the kids to show them some of the stuff that wasn’t picked up (too big) and a tree fell over as we were standing there. Not close to us or in our direction, but sure is something we talk about.

We have a pair of quail that stop by our patio every morning and evening now. Can’t wait for little fuzz balls to start showing up with them!

Bald eagles are all over the place! The pair that lives behind us has been hunting squeaks across the road, and there is one that has taken to hunting the pasture and trees around the first house out of Bonanza. Everyday, I get a real treat because it is normally within 50′ of the road.

We have a relatively new cacher that has been placing caches around KF lately. Nothing special, and a few of the older cachers are grumpy because they had plans to use the spots for some fancier hides, but…  I was searching for one a couple days ago with my wife. DNF. I texted a friend about it and still couldn’t find it. As I was getting back into the car to leave, he texted again and he said he was surprised I could get to the area because there had been a murder there the previous night.

On a different note, we have our TB university at the end of our driveway. I’ve managed to get down to talk to all the visitors so far, and last night noticed that someone had logged it, and 59 other caches of mine, the same dates as some of the Medford guys (one hour west of here over the Cascades). I had talked to the two Medford cachers that have been making regular visits, so I know there was only two people physically there on those days to sign the log – which they always sign as “TEAM BADD” to save log space.

The mystery logger was not one of the two guys I talked to. I asked one through email about this new set of logs and his reply is:

We had a few issues with some of your caches today.

our team is TEAM BAADD. that’s Bob, (okdf), Alex,(Socks4), Amanda, Daveydude and Duanne. The rules dictate that if you sign the log as a team, you may all claim a find.”

Reactions, or have we already beat this dead horse to death? The local KF cachers are of the same mind I think we are: we wouldn’t do it, but a person really makes their own rules.

We’ve had hummingbirds at our feeder for about a week, but not sure exactly what they are. Thinking maybe Calliope because they are the smallest I’ve ever seen and not flashy at all.

Bluebirds have been back for over a month, same with the swallows.

It was 80 today, and I got paid to watch a baseball game at school.

Got too much sun today. No caches, just transplanting peppers, cukes and tomatoes. We have dozens of extras we’re donating to the (state champion again) FFA program at school.

Third day in a row of temps over 70. Better get to work outside so I can get some free time later. Still have 95 caches to find south of Bonanza.

All the cachers we have met out here have been absolutely great to us! If you get a chance to stop by GC6E0VQ make sure to stop by the house!

Highs hit the 70s today. My dad had snow. Rumor is that we may get to 80 in a couple days before cooling back off a little bit.

Oh, HP2: I hear rumors of 100 caches being hidden along Harpold in the next few days too (not mine). I think you’ll have quite a few to find the next time you’re out here!
