Looking at the recording queue and Sinatra is the next thing to record. Hope it’s good.

We really enjoyed the Simon & Garfunkel concert.

Clapton at 70 was good, but the crowd was a bunch of stiffs.

Watching the John Lennon’s 75th is hit and miss. Sure are a ton of country singers and they don’t seem to have the right vibe for John’s songs.

Just got done sweeping the satellite dish and shovelling 4″ of snow. The predicted snowfall wasn’t supposed to really start yet.

I made quite a few more, but this is one of my favorite pictures I’ve taken out here, from GZ of one of my caches – no photoshop or editing too. This one was taken from the same location, but the sunset didn’t kick in yet.

Winter storm warning for today and tomorrow. Tuesday calls for rain. Every day during our two-week Christmas Break has some form of precipitation. Not conducive to caching at all. At least I broke my slump yesterday.

As far as the house goes, it’s funny out here. Everyone wants “outbuildings” and stables except us, and when we tell people where the house is, they all know it because it has one of the nicest stables. My daughter has always wanted horses, but she’s a freshman in HS now with no inclination to take care of the dogs, or do any housework that would show us she can care for a horse – not that she/we have any clue how to care for horses.

On the plus side – it is the only place we found with cement flooring in the attached garage (rarity) and in the basement (double rarity).

We’ll need to find someone to fence in the yard to keep the dogs in and the coyotes out, but other than that, any other work would be things we want, not need. Of course, my wife feels removing the carpet from our bathroom is a need

    Have another puzzle 🙂

And that picture of northeastern Klamath Falls with snow.

Here you go. This was taken during the summer, but Mt Shasta always has snow.

Didn’t realize I was missing the FTP when I was editing that post. Doh

Hard to tell if there are balls of grass or sage under the snow, or ankle breaking rocks.

Working on some puzzles for you 🙂

With 4-6″ of snow on the ground, it was like Wisconsin caching today!

Found one that I had to dig out, just like we had to do before we moved out here.

Then, I discovered that kids don’t know how to drive in snow because they haven’t had any amount of snow that sticks around for 8 years! GC3ABJC

That’s a 4×4 truck perpendicular to the road, and completely blocking the road. Neither of the boy’s dads would come to help, and none of the friends would either. Took the picture from the car. I was standing in the roadway higher than the truck. Steep hill and they missed the corner. I was only stuck there for 2 hours.

Info on the house I think we bought. Love saying that, wish we knew for sure we were set to go.

Haha late start due to 3″ … did you laugh too?

Yes, however because our district covers 6000 square miles (almost the entire county) conditions vary over two thousand feet in elevation change… We had kids with about a foot of snow at home. All depends upon which valley the precip follows, your elevation, and other stuff I don’t even begin to understand yet. Not like watching the snow come in for days from the Dakotas…

in reply to: Caching….the experience or the find? #2045287

Looks like we are very much in agreement. One of the reason I’ve started placing my cache series on the OC&E Trail is to experience the amazing things along the trail, whether it be geological, botanical, zoological or…some manmade things I still don’t understand.

And sharing these things with others.

I’ve come across more badger dens out here than I ever saw in Wisconsin (yes, I know we’re not the badger state because of the animal).
