Got my ? done

If you submit a cache in northern California at 4AM Friday morning, it gets published by 5AM. Wow.
Got turned around pretty bad by Google yesterday trying to get to an earthcache (went there instead of the old one). Took two hours to get to the cache once I left the highway instead of about 20 minutes. The computer was obsessed with sending me down red gravel roads that led to non-existing connecting roads or ones that were shut off by gates. Throw in a no-clearance vehicle and 2-3′ high sagebrush in the middle of the two-rut “roads” and it was fun. Oh, and rocks hidden in the brush. It wasn’t fun. It was the most stressful trip I’ve been on. Came back with a splitting headache and an upset wife (understandably so). The earthcache was a real letdown too, except for being near a lake that reminded me of any one of the small lakes in NE WI/UP. It was so shocking seeing water and green grass around here!
I was very happy to see the Packers game was broadcast on NFL network, so we got to watch it. The only bad thing being it was the local NE broadcasters, so we got to see “FREE BRADY” T-shirts all the time, and listen to them complain about his pending suspension and how people don’t appreciate the Patriots way of doing things.
Back to school insomnia and a little dog that is recovering from getting spayed. At least everyone else in the house is sleeping. At least I hope my wife doesn’t come out and ask what I’m doing at this time – I can’t say “Jake from State Farm”

There are a couple out here that I have mentioned in my log that they get an “unfavorite” point. The top of that dubious list goes to a micro at the top of a 1000′ hill that disappeared in the two years since it was found. As I was texting the last two finders, after making the climb in a cold drizzle, they informed me that not only was it a mirco, but it was a duct tape pocket stuck between a concrete slab that once anchored a radio tower and the grass surrounding it. I will guarantee you that it got eaten by rodents up there – or tossed away by the kids that go up there to drink. So many good places to hide something more than a micro, and you put a stupid duct tape pocket and tuck it into the ground.
Having said all of that, I see someone found it a month after me… GC3ECAW
Wow, that person sure does get around! Finds in so many states, and the DR most recently. Make you wonder how someone travels so much 🙂

Permission granted for trek to get GC11E tomorrow. Taking the long way back and making a circular route means it could be a 25 cache day, spread over 450 miles, with about 150 miles being areas I already picked clean.
Heading toward Shasta in the next couple of days should be another 15. That will put me within a trip to KF to getting to 1000 before school meetings start next week. The best sig is no sig.

Just wondering if I got the D right on my latest puzzle cache. T4 correct, or higher?
