Just checked in on what kind of hummers to expect and Ruby doesn’t make the list at all. The female looked similar enough to click when I saw her. Judging from the breed descriptions it seems this is the only type I can expect to see. I sure like the way UWGB had the Wisconsin bird atlas. With the variety of biomes and elevations, I can see how it is hard to describe where birds are out here though.

The Ruby is really a Rufous. Got a good look at the male just now. Happily, the little dog just sits on top of the loveseat by that window and doesn’t bark at them. She barks at everything else.

Then there is GC4RD66

I keep getting trivial answers for a system of 4 equations and 4 unknowns. I did come across a solution with x = 70, but that didn’t check out. I have every angle in that diagram determined except for two at angle D and the one clockwise from x

Stupid geometry. I may give this one to my Advanced Algebra kids for a year starting problem if I get it solved before then. Of course, they would solve it in a few minutes and then make fun of me. 🙂

Trying to use those cheats from Bingo Blitz on puzzle caches doesn’t help much. So few of them around here, but Walla Walla area is loaded. Just 300 straight miles to get to them. It’s a challenge Mecca too. I’ve been talking to Polite Pete a little bit, but to no avail. GC2CXA2

Dogs got up early today.
Picked off a stumper cache today by not using GPS and just walking to where I would hide it. I hate pine cone caches.
