My wife would kill me if I even suggested doing that kind of caching.
I got 25 or so in Lakeview last weekend. One cache was toast. Inactive CO but a good spot, so I replaced with a new container. Another one was like the Top Spots hides, only someone drove through top of the T intersection and took out the hide. Found the Baggie with the log. The sign was smashed against a cattle fence 40′ away. Active CO so I SL made a needs maintainence log for it and placed the Baggie in the closest cache owned by same CO.
There are so many amazing locations out here with inactive COs I routinely replaced damaged containers. There were a few I went to specifically for that purpose. A couple I didn’t make it to fast enough and they got archived. The best sig is no sig.
30 min from getting back home yesterday the driver ahead of my wife fell asleep at the wheel. She said it was like NASCAR but only one car. Fortunately no one seemed to be hurt

We placed a cache at the Mexican place in town a while ago. Stopped there tonight and the owner was happy to report three cachers stopped by to eat after finding the cache. She forgot where it was placed. The first crew to stop was looking all over and she couldn’t figure out what they were doing. When they stopped in to ask for help she remembered where it was and got them the smilie.
All the power trails close to us have hides unique enough that the pre-signed micros wouldn’t really work. Can’t replace a Colemam cooler with a film canister 🙂
There is one close to Mt Shasta that is like that though. Haven’t been that far south yet,but I got to the internment camp where Mr. Sulu and his family were held today. Not much left to look at and the gate was closed. Still haven’t turned off the highway to visit where the Japanese balloon bomb killed a family during WW2The best sig is no sig.
Spotted a Western Tanager up close yesterday but couldn’t get a picture.

Kids took out five caches since school got out, including my hotel, again.
Two bugs lost, again.
On an upside, somebody is posting in German on finds today along with another in English.
We have two new cachers in town too!

Sorry about the link. But the owner of an earthcache has over 1500 finds in one day! Whoa!

I hate how the new search limits the radius to 30 miles. Not far enough in rural areas!

I only have 3 caches left to find with 10+ favorite points. One is a night cache. I don’t want to drive home in the dark from KF so that is out. One is a multi that is strange, no real waypoints, just a look for three hills and figure out where you are. The third is a traditional that I almost went to find during a trip to town last week. Didn’t see it was on this list then. Glad I decided to just go home!

I think I upset the rain clouds. Coming down now so the tv signal is bad.
