Not sure what the high was today, but at 4:00 it is 70
Replaced a cache, placed a cache and just finished working up a solve-on-site puzzle. Wish I could’ve gotten the earthcache approved at this spot, and I could rewrite it to fit the requirements, but that would take too much time reading about the creation of the Langell Valley as Lake Modoc evaporated.

We have a CO out here that purposely has coords as much as 60′ off “just to make it harder”
They have several hundred hides like this and do not maintain them!
You never know if you can’t find one because the numbers are bad or if a critter got it. BTW, pack rats are much worse on containers than raccoonsTo stay on topic, since most hides out here are on the ground, I stand above or as close to the hide as I can & pray the reception out here is good. Mountains are terrible on reception!

We finally got Apple TV last weekend. Binge watching MASH right now. Kids like Magnum and Quantum Leap. The boy digs the original Battlestar. Everyone but me likes Doctor Who but me. Never liked it after a friend tried to get me hooked back in ’83. Not sure what Dr that was, but the (not so) special effects turned me off.

Met the president of the PTA today. She had a few questions about getting a math/science fair going (I told her I have trouble planning past next week with 9 preps, but would be open to it) and then she said she and her husband had just started geocaching and had followed a string of my finds along the OC&E Trail, and recognized my name from the logs 🙂 Then her husband noticed that Bonanza is plastered with hides and they will get working on those soon too. She didn’t know what name they were using to log their finds, and I didn’t see any fresh logs online, so I don’t know if they know how to log them, or are just going to sign the sheets.
It sure was a nice way to make a connection!

We have a ? cache out here where you need to find TBs that have clues on them. All the bugs are long gone, but people say it is still solvable because it only has a few possible choices. I had placed a “archived” request before being asked to withdraw it, which I did.

But, with the cachers we have around here, I doubt there would be many if there was a game to encourage them. They already do a good job of keeping things maintained and active!
