Goldenrod adorned log
(Tried but I couldn’t get it to print.)
Did you :like: my FTP
Guess I get it!!!!!
No one is interested?
Fast, Huh?
What did I miss in your instructions?
(:.like.:)
I’ve been hanging on Facebook to much, can’t find the “Like” button…
…when I got to Mom and Dad’s, she was in the middle of sorting through a phone scam that got her.
Sorry to hear about this Birdin. Every time I hear about a story like this I wish someone would come up with a method to make these people suffer. Why not a virus that can be sent to their computer to cause it to self destruct. Isn’t that tech possible?
….Now, my other question for those of you who’ve seen me or pictures of me. I’m developing a living history first person account of an ornithologist. (Big surprise, huh?) I’m not fishing for compliments, so be honest….how old do I look? This will help guide me as to what stage of her life I need to represent. Fashions changed significantly over the span of her life, so I need a focal point for the costume and accoutrements used in my program. Thanks.
Read that post and started laughing immediately! And not for the reason you might think. My first thought was that you first asked Trekkin and his response was something like this:
“Is that a trick question??? No matter how I answer this I’m going to lose!”
Well….in my mail today is a summons for jury duty on October 24. Trekkin’s served 2-3 times in the past but this is my first call.
Several years ago I got in the cycle for summons on multiple cases. All of them got settled before going to trial except for one that went to trial. Although it was a hassle to get down to Sturgeon Bay due to the fact that it was in the off season and it required staying in a motel several nights it was one of the most interesting experiences in my life. I really enjoyed it. The biggest pain was my administrator and school secretary who felt extremely put out that they had to find a substitute to teach for me.
I would not hesitate to serve again in the future.
COTM is easy enough to keep going as it nearly runs itself other than setting up the polls, making notifications and sending the banners to the winners.
I was just going thru some topics and noticed this post. I never received the banner or notification. Maybe I missed it but I would be surprised. This was during a period of some technical difficulties and I just wrote it off as this. Still available?

I did…will see if they follow up on it. The owner of a little general store in Star Lake said she’d seen it once too but no one else has been able to confirm her sighting.
DNR in my experiences isn’t real good on call backs although they eventually confirm one way or another. I found a animal skull several years back and wanted to confirm whether or not it was a wolf skull. Was afraid I might get in to trouble if I kept it so I had them check it out and it turned out to be a juvenile bear. But it took quite a while with me pestering them to get a response.
We just got back from spending a week at Star Lake. My wife goes out early every morning for a long walk…this week it was the remote roads near the lake…one morning she had a black bear cross the road ahead of her…this morning she one-upped that by seeing a mountain lion that stopped in the road briefly to stare at her. Glad it wasn’t hungry.
Did you report the mountain lion to the DNR? They like to keep tabs on them.
Taking the boat and heading to Star Lake for a week…celebrating our anniversary on Sunday…#45
Congratulations! No sneaking away to grab some caches allowed 😉
