It looks like you live around Appleton and it also looks like you haven’t done “Door County Challenge” yet? (GCGE6B)
Ellison Bluff State Natural area, 4 caches (stages), great views of the Bay, climbing down and back up the bluff for the last two stages, neat old abandoned cottage on the shore, and not a long drive from the Fox Valley.
There is a cache in Bonduel by Lander and Lancelot(GC140QB) along these lines that I always liked until it got moved which made it a little more out of the way. This one doesn’t accept recorded movies but you might send them a PM to pick their brain on the idea.
Personally, I like the idea, I’m always looking for something to watch on the VCR up north at the cottage. Sometimes you just don’t feel like reading a book. If you place it up north, I would love to visit it and check it out. Could possibly help with recycling a lot of my old recorded movies 😆
Glad to see there is still the possibility. I keep watching the mail and snooping around stuff my wife ordered that is arriving in the mail for Christmas. Honest Dear, I’m just looking for my free geocoin…

Interesting, same unscientific study, the percentage drops to 12%
Wow! Still more than I would have guessed.
(You must be bored.)
Bingo, Mrs. Northwoods has one of her DVD’s showing on the T.V. and I had finished the newspaper… 🙄

Unscientific but interesting I thought.
I picked a cache that has been popular and out there for a while. I looked at the last 100 “found it” posts and about 20% had also completed at least 1 challenge. Not a real high percentage but probably higher than some other cache categories.
I personally have looked at some challenges but have never been interested in doing any.
Always try to have some zip-lock bags (sandwich/snack size).
Usually for the log but I recently placed a cache in one that was at ground level that leaked and was full of water, this on a FTF. I then let the cache owner know about the cache problem.

Tom, I feel your pain…
Yours since 9/26/2010, mine since 8/21/2010. These individuals must be related to each other…

if a trackable is marked missing, that doesn’t mean it is dead and gone. If it is found somewhere and logged, it will continue its journey.
Interesting, I didn’t realize it was that easy. I had actually considered taking a road trip to scour the grounds and the cache area (for about 5 seconds). This trip would also involve a swing into Ohio to track down the individual who is sitting on another one of my trackables… 👿
Everyones situation is different. Leave it up to the trackable owner.
One of my trackables sat in a cache for over two years before someone grabbed it and got it moving. Never a mention of it by the cachers during that time. Another has been in the hands of an individual for almost two years. A third has been noted as missing but the cache is way up in a gnarly old tree. Is someone finally going to find it laying on the ground somewhere, is it still in a cache that’s hard to peruse on a treacherous perch, or is it somewhere up in the tree (knot hole?) or someones pocket?
I reluctantly marked it as missing after this thread, although I’m still hopeful.

Aw, man!!! They’re all gone already 🙁
Missed out by 44 minutes, or less? Real bummer! Maybe I’ll release mine up north so you can see it or possibly swipe it… 😈
Cool, more free stuff. I may never have to worry about a “paid for” geocoin going missing again!
Thanks Barry!
