Congratulations Brian!
Bummer news. If you do create a new travel bug hotel cache I vote for a gadget cache…. Put those carpenter skills to work 😉
This was the third straight morning with a dead mouse in one of the five traps I now have in the garage. Two days ago I found and got rid of a nest. I hope I’m making some progress
You may think you have but they will soon be heading outside for greener pastures and will lure you into a false sense of security until next fall. Use the warm weather this summer to literally crawl around your outside foundation and stuff all those holes larger than a dime with something. I use spray foam and steel wool. If I had done that sooner, I wouldn’t have had to deal with the snakes that would follow them in! Since then, rarely a problem.
I’m confused… So bartrod is a thing and not a proper noun???? And here I thought you forgot to captitalize your name when you created it 😉
(GCGW14)
Play pickleball…anybody else into that sort of thing???
My game was racquetball or handball, alas that was back in the day of two good knees. From there it went to badminton and then just hiking on the days my knee isn’t barking. 🙁
Dare I say it, walk down a trail… I mean no phone or GPS or even printed off sheet from geocaching.com to look for a cache, I mean hiking with no caching haha…. Probably sad to say I don’t remember the last time I just went for a hike. I of course had to check for caches.
Very often. Although I do admit that I often carry the GPS just in case I explore far off the trail so as to find my way back or mark something to share with Mrs. Northwoods when I return with her in tow. I’m fortunate enough to have a boatload of forest trails up north around the cottage to explore.
Right now is a good time here to look for shed antlers. I’m rarely successful but who cares.
I’ve spent the last couple days in our “palatial estate” in the kitchen cooking. BBQ ribs last night and homemade egg rolls tonight. Makings of some good leftovers! Wonder what I should make Sunday?
Sounds like the makings of an EarthCache there!
Looks like it’s on private land.
I found the reason Bart, it’s the vapors from all those decaying Sasquatch’s that’s being released in to the air.

(Pretty cool site if it’s not the reason.)
I agree with the closed up house, pets or not. Plus the heating system stirs up stuff that was just sitting quietly. Outside always helps me.
Maybe…but I’m still blaming Tom. I don’t have a forced air furnace.
How old is your mattress? Maybe it’s all those dead skin cells and dust mites 😉 At least that’s what the ads say…
We actually live in a glen on the Island, so it’s the neighbors. Everything in the air settles here…
Everyone must be in bed…
Time for a first to post?
But what’s in the air at this time of year to cause that? Has anybody else had this issue?
Same problem, I blame it on the allergens in the closed up house in the winter and dry heat. If you have pets as we do I think this stirs it up an you wake up in the AM all stuffed up. Hot shower in the morning and getting outside seems to help.
We have a beer making kit and we still need to actually use it.
I use to have one but I gave it to a beer drinking fan. It should have been a rum making kit, I would use that.
I also have a kit to make your own button mushrooms, I’ve been to scared to try it. Wonder how long the spore lasts?
