Regarding food: (yes I read above posts)
Suggest to chamber members ie: Starbucks, Subway, Cousins, etc to have mobile booths to sell food. They do that in my little community and raise money for costs plus donation back to the chamber.
Would the chamber endorse or encourage Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts/4 H/ Future Farmers/non-profits to have a booth/tent to sell coffee or baked goods? If not, a roadside stand outside the park would be a “gold-mine.” Anyone notice the # of nearby rummage sales??Batteries…..newbie cachers and experienced cachers all have that momentary lapse of having fresh batteries. Sat am was asked 3-4x if we had/sold batteries. Bug Spray…Sunscreen. Maybe Walgreens and the Chamber could work out an assignment agreement, mark up the product $0.25, and some profit for the Chamber.
Thank you!! You have all confirmed my initial instincts. I was *spoiled* by my factory installed auto navi system, and now that vehicle is history 🙁
Geosphere is really good, and easy to learn for those non-techie people. I particually like the field notes/found status that can easily be uploaded once connected to WI-FI, makes logging caches super easy.
So nice out-sure it’s November?
Another pm sent…..
pm sent….
When using the I-touch, do you have to be within WI-FI range to access the cache pages, or are they “stored” in your unit with this program?

The Badger is on northbound 45. I think it is between Birnamwood and Antigo. It is a former gas station turned strip joint.
Badger is just south of Antigo, approx 10 miles on Hwy. 45

Also on northbound 45 is a giant lumberjack(?) that appears to be holding a turtle. I believe that is between Clintonville and Wittenberg.
This lumberjack is in Tigerton, also on Hwy 45, just north of “town.”
There is also the large deer in Lomira–off Hwy. 41 on frontage road. Cache there is “Largest Deer You’ve Ever Seen ” or something like that. I believe Ecoranger is owner.
Maybe a pre-requisite to macros writing would be “use of macros.” I know there are a few of us who don’t quite understand the use of macros. Interest is expressed– I’ll chip in for dj’s beer!
Another ham here KC9DCE. I don’t carry an HT while caching as I have too much other stuff (swag/TB’s/etc) to carry.
Good luck on your test….make sure you take the free on-line practice tests, they really help!

I’d like to see a download file made available on the event page or WGA site at around 10PM on Friday before the event. This would ease the burden on those helping with the downloads
I second this thought. With the wide variety of gpsr’s out there, we ran into some really “old” ones and fancy-smanchy new ones that, frankly, I had no idea how to download to. This would ease the burden of….”Hey Jeremy, come help here,” and would ease the frustration of cachers who were annoyed when the volunteer downloaders didn’t “know” every nuance or how to operate their unit.
The 3 pq’s and recent finds that I ran last night never came through. Re-ran 1 pq this am, and 1 minute later it was back….go figure! Now a quick churn thru GSAK and off on my planned trip!

Anyone still waiting for the emails containing their PQs tonight?
Hour 3 and still waiting….bummer as I have a “road-trip” tomorrow and no PQ [:(]

Baking soda or baking powder????
Mix baking soda, adolf’s meat tenderizer, and water to make a paste. Spread over the bee sting areas. The tenderizer is supposed to take the stinging pain away.
