Wow,
It’s a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world…
They made this milestone in one of my favorite places too. Congratulations!
FYI- I’ve signed the Bandits up for a couple of bowling leagues for the fall and winter. That should keep them off the roads and slow ’em down for a while. I know what you’re thinkin’- how am I going to get them there? Simple, it’s a new cache in their area I’m working on called “300”. You have to bowl a perfect game in order to log it…
😈We did this one for our thousandth. It was a five hour drive each way for us and we thought it was worth it.

Thanks to Robin for her work in helping to solve this problem and to Coins and Pins for working to make things right.
Thanks everyone,
We knew Honeybunnies were expecting something to compare with our 500th- but it’s tough to compete with a thousand + foot climb up a rutted, switch backed jeep trail to an abandoned silver mine in the Rocky Mountains. However, a few PQ’s with terrain 4 or better within 700 miles and we managed to find a gem that we’ll never forget. It was a long way to go just for a cache but if you’re ever going by we recommend taking the time for Silver Island Treasure.
Never mind…
Fathers Day solved that little problem. 🙂
I was able to say my congratulations on the spot but I’ll echo them here too- Congratulations Mathman!

06/18/2007 at 2:54 am in reply to: Auto-Routing With Garmin. Anyone else have problems with it? #1876182I’m not an expert. But my understanding is that Topo just doesn’t have the codes and so forth for the unit to use to autoroute. Navigator is set up for autorouting. It is not very good for showing trails, streams, or even small lakes. It has no Topo lines. That’s why I run both. I can switch to Navigator to autoroute in cities that I don’t know very well and then switch over to Topo when hiking or in parks (especially when you want to know which side of the water the cache is located).
It may not be worth it to you to purchase Navigator because other than having more up-to-date roads (Topo is really behind the times) and allowing autorouting Navigator is much worse once you are out of the truck.

And when you load both Navigator and Topo as I’ve started doing so as to have rivers and trails on my screen when I want them it’s easy to forget to switch back to Navigator. And if you’ve become used to just trusting the autorouting you can be in for a really long drive to get to a very close cache…
Congratulations Bandits!
