sorry, correction
🙂Sorry. I have to disagree with day 7.
On the seventh day, the DOT rested — and all the roads went right to . . . well. . . . potholed straight paths that ruin suspensions and tires!!!
😮
Thanks! Looks like they must have the new one there now. I used the code you supplied and it looks great:

You mean to tell me that nobody knows the location of the new logo in order to update the sticky???
At home I use Firefox almost exclusively. I feel it’s a lot “leaner” application that doesn’t have all the bloat IE is known for. Also not too thrilled about how tightly IE is integrated with Windows.
Interesting. From your description, that sounds like what they’ve done here. The forest is pretty “tight” in that area so it could be they are trying to kill it slowly.
😀
I love it when a plan (starts to) come together!!!8)
October 5 sounds like a good day. Let’s call it official:
EARTHCACHE ROAD TRIP ’08 IS SET
FOR SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5th ! ! !There wasn’t as much response to this as I’d hoped. Was hoping we would end up with 3 or 4 to share the costs and driving, but it looks like just two. Oh well !! Maybe we can get a couple more before then.
With just the two of us, Mrs. OuttaHand says she would happily join in and we could use our car. It gets about 30 mpg so the costs would be as I described above, except split two ways instead of 4 or 5.
Next thing to figure out is our route and how many caches we want to try to hit. Any thoughts???
.
.Thought I’d add a cost estimate and an idea:
The trip would add up to about 500 miles.
In a car that gets 30 MPG, we would burn about 17 gallons of gas
At $4.50 / gal that would cost $76.50
Split 5 ways that comes to $15.30 per person. Split 4 ways it’s just under $20.
My personal addition to the pot would be that I would put in an additional $5 to pay toward the car owner’s portion. If the others in the car chose to do the same, the car owner would not have to pay toward the gas at all. Their contrubution would be the 500 miles we would add to their odometer.
S O L D ! ! !
Here’s my submission. I think Green ‘n’ Gold represents Wisconsin as much as any other. UW-Madison may be Red-White but not all the UW’s are.
I’m not aware of any “official” WI color so good ol’ Packers Green ‘n’ Gold will have to do! Besides, Green is so Geocaching!

If I was forced to choose from your list it would be Puzzle Caches.
But the reality is that my least favorite is not in your list.
I hate micros
I like regular caches. Traditionals. I like a nice walk in the woods with the reward of an ammo box or tupperware with little goodies and a log book.
A big bonus is to have som beautiful photo ops along the way.
4 miles would probably be about the limit. Don’t think I’d get the wife to join me for 7 miles.
If you wanted to get more visitors, you could consider adding one or two regular caches (or milti-cachs) along the way. Just a good way for someone to get some extra smileys on the way to/from the earthcache. That’s GREAT news!!!
One of the ones I ordered is to be a Christmas gift so I’m glad they’ll be here plenty early. Looking forward to mine showing up in a couple days!
Thanks again to everyone who made these coins possible!!
😀
I haven’t read the boards for a while. I come back and read the same ol’ — same ol’
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again this way:
There were coordinates to a hidden cache, and I used my GPSr to find it. That’s a cache! and I found it!”
That means I log my temp finds in case you didn’t get that. 🙂
So to paraphrase a slighly similar saying:
“They can have my temp finds when they erase them from my cold, dead account. -
