The non-owner-co-owner could “Beta Test” the cache. Since they were present for the placement, tested the coords, co-own it, etc. they should be allowed to log the “find”. Otherwise it’s a cache that continues to show as “unfound” for them…which technically is not really true.
Here’s just one example of logging a cache as Beta Tested: GCZA7Y
As always proceed with your best judgement and with what your conscious can handle when logging a find… 😉

UMMMMMM…Why? Does the WGA HAVE to be ALL about what GC.com???? I myself have a few Location less Caches listed on Terracaching.com and do have a regular listed terracache that’s been found only twice….

And I’m sure I’m taking this out of context but if your not an EC Master you don’t count? That’s why I hate rankings and numbers and titles.
Well said, some very good points.
Terracaching is a great sport to compliment your geocaching. For those seeking a challenge, higher quality of caches, and a self governing forum of local sponsors that approve of caches and thus keep the quality high, this is for you. If a cache gets approved and subsequent finders determine the quality low, it will reflect in the famous “rating/points” system and eventually it may get dropped off the site.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting a title, number, or rank, we see it all the time on GC.com…”it’s all about the numbers”. Just don’t push it onto others as you know it can become a sore topic. I have yet to apply for the EC Masters. I don’t need the title or the pat on the back like others are seeking. My pleasure comes from the education I receive, that others receive, and from my communication with land managers. Planning and developing an EC is no different then planning and developing a very good quality cache placement and “story” (cache page) to go with it. Good things take time and thought. Too many cachers have missed this and focus more on quantity than quality.
So I guess what I’m saying instead of developing a forum into some dichotomous key that places everything into a cubbyhole that nobody can navigate through lets keep it open but in generalities.

I am wondering if the simplist approach might be the best way to meet the need for folks to discuss Earthcaches? We could just add a Tab under the Hunting and Hiding heading, labeled Earthcache Discussion. Would this meet the need? zuma
