Do they check all hikers to make sure their shoe strings are tied? 😕

in reply to: Logo Revision #1884535

I would suggest that if a new logo is created that there is some understanding that no changes in logo should occur over the next 5-7 years.

    Reason:
It takes time for a logo to become recognizable by those not directly associated to the organization. This would allow due time for individuals to identify with the logo and establish an connection with the WGA itself.

    What could be allowed:
Minor changes in the logo can occur over the years as touching up the graphic. For example if you take our current logo you would keep the same items but could possibly update the look of the GPS unit and the container. You WOULD NOT however change the position of the items.

    Just a suggestion to consider…

I know it is a GC.com approved thing, just find it interesting who they allow and don’t.

Just so we make sure this thread does not turn into a wild discussion, I made the comment just to make sure it was clear.

As requested I did the Milwaukee thing to help those who are interested get one as well. I think only 23 from my last count probably won’t cut it.

Don’t come visit it now though – it’s buried under 2 feet of snow.

You don’t want to help remove two feet of snow and ice.

    Awesome folks….

Thanks very much. My daughter has a school project about effigy mounds and I figure what a great way to go caching and get her to see them in person.

About 3 years ago I found a falcon along the road. It was in pretty good shape but one wing was broken. I managed to corner the poor guy and get him covered to be picked up. When I contact the a few individuals at the time trying to find a rescue center I got threatened a FEW times that harboring a wild animal is illegal and they were going to turn me into the police. Even the shelter I found gave me a hard time for having the bird. It was a thanks for the bird but don’t do that again attitude.

I would do it again in a hart beat but geez I got railed for trying to help.

I once heard the penny smashers really did not smash anything, but rather kept your penny and punch out a copper replacement. 😯 So they really do squish ’em?

A copper replacement would be worth more than the penny.

in reply to: Which MWGB Group Coin Do You Prefer?? #1883860

I would like to attend the event and would like to get on the coin but I can NOT commit to ether. With work, family, and going to school I have no idea if I will be under the gun to get some major paper completed. By the time I will know it will be to late for the coin and getting a place at the event would be a major pain. Oh well

I am still planning on having a CITO event this year. The parks department was very happy with what we accomplished last year. As the time gets closer I will be looking for some volunteers to place caches in area parks that will be released on the day of the CITO event.

We can always hope for an other CVB event next year 🙂 .

I personally would say find more caches and go to a few events of different types to see what goes on. Anyhow, welcome.
