The Kickapoo is cresting at an all-time high, which is saying a lot for a river that floods frequently.
Last time I saw the Kickapoo 1 foot high would be impressive.
I have only one cache that is specifically made to be hard to find. If a cacher looks for it once and can not find it I will email them a clue if they ask. If they still can’t find it I will email them another clue far more descriptive. If they still can’t find it I’m more than happy to make a personal trip out and assist.

The event page says to bring something based on your last name. The registration says both last name and geocaching name.
I’m so confused! 😕 😉
It should be last name… we realized some time ago that geocaching names are not well distributed (too many “Team”s and “The”s, probably 50+ per our member list) so we stopped using that as the basis to split people up.
The registration page has been corrected to say ONLY last name…
BNB pick away — I went with the name that put me in the category that I wanted to be in. 😆

I’m available to hide some temps!! I also need to discuss a change in the WGA’s policy for who qualifies as a WGA Member and who is a WGA Friend.
😀I’m sure they will still let you hide at least one or two caches. 😀 If they wont you can use my ID. 🙄
If I’m right GC.com shut down the two Graveyards that I knew of. I guess they did not want anyplace to show the thousand or so missing bugs. I had to mark mine just plan missing.

ChrisI would check Ebay before you pay full price from Palm.

On the same subject, well now anyway. Maybe some of you techies can explain why my print screen feature never works on my home computer??? Is there something I need to turn on/off, like a preference setting or something?
I can’t tell you why only that your not alone. I had the same problem for about 1-2 months then it went away. I never found out what caused it or why it went away.

I’m sure the supplies ran out by now. They first opened up requests on June 15th. Your best bet is to find one in a geocache now.
I know we placed one in a Madison cache recently… 🙂
They were out by the second day.
Count me in as long as it’s not around Aug 4th.

Thank you for your inquiry. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation

This is the same info I basically got 1 year ago when I approached them about a rest stop in my area. Around that same time the welcome center in lacrosse actually asked me about putting an geocache out on their land. After a few weeks I learned that came to an end as well. Their is a cache their but on a public trail.
Power drill………….
That reminds me I have 8 to drill holes into today.

Cookie cutter log or not I am just happy the cache was found intact and operational. I personally got more important things to worry than how someone logs my cache. Just log it with FOUND and I will be happy in the knowledge that the cache has survived yet another day.
I myself do “Cookie cutter” logs at times if hitting a few in a day. I do make notes most of the time about caches to add to the “Cookie cutter log” if something different happened or something needed to be said about the cache. Not every cache I do has an experience that is different from the one before.
I’m sure that if you send it into the manufacture they would be more than happy to fix it for about the price of a new one. 😕
I would take it that the warranty is no long any good?
Good luck – Hopefully someone knows a company or person that can evaluate your GPSr for very cheap price.
I will take that as a no…. 😕

Personally, I would be in favor of sending the periodic newsletter to all members and friends by default (opt-out) and doing the news article notification feature but only send notifications to people that specifically request them (opt-in).
I think your general set up for option 1 & 2 seems reasonable. The only thing I would point out is I see what is suggested for #2 option being what #1 would more than likely be populated with. This would create for those who opt-in a quarterly email that is nothing more than a summery of past emails. So in short, I would say #1 and #2 are the same thing.
What #2 in my view should be is an Opt-in for short notice events, WGA request, votes/input from members that are short time frame. Examples of each below..
Short notice event – WGA indorsed or other WGA member held event which the WGA believes is good PR for the organization and geocaching. Such event could be that the DNR office in a county ask that the WGA hold a training event. This would be something that might have short enough time frame that it would not be in a quarterly news letter but the WGA needs to get volunteers to help make the event happen.
WGA request – While this can include the above it also can be just like the announcements made that the DNR is looking for photos, or a news crew in Milwaukee is looking for a cacher(s) to interview, or a Boy/Girl Scout group needs help.
Votes/input – Some items the committees or board don’t have 3-4 months to work on but would like to get the opinions of the WGA members. These usually show up on the fours but all might not have the chance to see these types of postings.
