I want to thank The Baby Bugs, team_red, twoworldly, Sammy Claws and his son Connor, Puzzler, and TeamDeejay for helping me present Geocaching to the people that attended the Potawatomi Area Council’s Scout Expo on Saturday. We were able to introduce a large number of people to Geocaching.
LucienWe spent the weekend doing Chippewa Valley geocaches. We did not have time to do all of them, but did caches by all the placers. Very good caches, interesting trails, some very long muddy roads, some road names/places that our supposedly 2006 mapping didn’t contain, some very clever hides and containers, interesting history, great scenic views. All in all a great event!

Ditto here …I especially like to see who is bashing their brains out over my puzzles!
And I usually take off the premimum membership designation after several finds.

I guess that would include us too!!
There should also be a clickable link from the notification for Remove from watchlist. That will take you to the confirmation page that you want to remove it from your watchlist.
Actual requirements won’t be available until 3/25 but story is available now.
We too, were saddened to hear of your retirement. You were one of the first cachers we met while searching for a cache. We have many good memories of your caches and a box you made as a door prize for a WGA picnic that we use for special geocache treasures and sig items. Our thoughts are with you.
Lucien and Karen
Congratulations!! We always enjoy doing a few of your caches on our way to MN and back. Well, maybe not the El Bastardo versions
Thanks for the congratulations. We have enjoyed the last 4+ years of hiking new trails, meeting other geocachers, finding all types of caches and being outside in all kinds of weather.
We keep hard copy notes with waypoint coords so if M R Anderson, cathunter, or any previous finders is going to check up and wants them please e-mail us via geocaching.com
Thanks for the encouragement. We plan on being there bright and early.
Congratulations to TeamLightningBugs, Not So Lost Puppies, Yuppers and Cache_Boppin_Bunny!!
Think you may be right about the Saturday event being too late for us to get a coin. Looks like the best we can do is make it to the top of the list of teams waiting for an event cache.
We are going to be sitting here watching our position drop as we wait for the event. Our current obligations don’t allow for 200mile+ trips on weekday nights. Game was fun in that it required searching for different categories of caches that might have been bypassed otherwise.
Thanks from us too for pointing out this game. It sounds like an interesting way to choose a variety of caches.
We agree that this is a very interesting series. So far we have done just 2 of them, GCQW0A YT-Slinger Depot & Ice Age Trail and GCR04E Menomonee Falls Mill Pond Dam & Fire Station (doesn’t have yellowstone trail in its name but is part of the trail) and they both contained history as well as varying lengths walk/hike to the final once you figure out the coodinates. You should have an interesting busy weekend.
Although we have exchanged e-mail a few times since, the last time we saw wzbt03 in person was along a snowy trail in Janesville when we were searching for Foundation.
We really miss the variety his caches provided, especially since most in our area now either start with a difficult puzzle or are micros.
