Tried to power up holding the enter key, but that had no results, so turned on holding the page & enter keys at same time. That brought up the clear all setting option. Picked that. Now it will turn on without me removing a battery. Will have to wait till tomorrow to give it a better test. Thanks for the quick help.
We are home too with things to get done before leaving for Iowa and family obligations next week. Had a good day geocaching today though and may be able to get in a little more
tomorrow. We are the Trudy camp variety.
Go to your local Boy Scout office. They will have good books available about compass use. If you have specific questions I would be glad to try to help you.
Lucien of PharmTeamI agree with Trudy and the Beast. We have one themed cache which is often used as a first cache and we try to keep it filled with nicer items. Most cachers are quite good about trades.
KarenCongratulation to Miata!!
Thanks to Cathunter for the trivia and time spent preparing the game. We learned quite a few things searching for answers.
I am planning to attend again this year. It is a well run event with about 120 boys from 11-18 last year. They had lots of fun finding the temporary caches and this year there is a real one in the park.
Could it be at Waas up!!! GCN6CQ???
There is a TB graveyard cache, but you can also mark your TB as missing from the dropdown menu on the TB page. That sends it to unknown, but its milage is easy to correct if the TB resurfaces at sometime.
We know how you feel as when we released our first TB it felt like sending our oldest child off to college, or our youngest to his first day of kindergarten where your wish them a safety, happy journey but must let go. However 3 months is not a long time, it may still reappear. One of our TB’s (Oreo) went on a hike with a Webelo den and was left in a cache that flooded and got washed away. Geocaching.com archived the cache and almost 1 year later a cacher found the remains of the cache and started our TB back on his journey. Another of our TB’s went missing and was found in a cache about 100 miles away from where he was last dropped off about 1 yr later. The most interesting of our TB’s (Larry Ladybug) was taken to the Netherlands by CanyonRose and has been sending back interesting pictures and is now in Finland. It is interesting to read the cache pages (althought many need to be run through a translator) and learn about caches in other countries. Best wishes for the successful return of your TB, otherwise the best advise is as LightningBugs Mum said, sent out another TB.
KarenWe will both plan on being there to help.
